Arsenal are showing interest in roberto soldado who has been left out of the spanish team ahead of the euros

Believable12 Unbelievable25

Very good striker, I believe a little underrated in England, not too mUch mentioned about him. Has a great goal scoring record. 4 apps 3 goal for Spain. Get age 29 goals In 60 apps at Valencia 35 in 66 now that's not bad... It's not messi but it's a damn site better than chamack, park and bendtner!! If Rvp stays with podolski and soldado that will be half decent and if we get rid of the rest mentioned we can cut wage bill and recoup the fee. Not bad business?

Agree0 Disagree0

The only thing I would say is his 3 goals for Spain were in one match.

arsenal to sign De Jong, Giroud, Yanga M, Dembele and a couple of less known players THAT IS ALL source is very reliable

alot of deadwood will be sold

Believable13 Unbelievable28

We wont sign de jong and m'villa

Agree0 Disagree0

Deadwood is a generic term. It means different things to different people it is subjective.I may think that xxx is deadwood while someone else feels he is not and vice versa.
1732

Agree0 Disagree0

To be fair, he never said Yann M'Villa, he was referring to Yanga Mbiwa.

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh right. Juzt the six players. Seven including Podolski.

Slick Mick

Agree0 Disagree0

Deadwood has to be sold to bring in funds for transfers and wages, and open up squad space. I think it's agiven that even Wenger wants some players sold, but it doesn't guarantee we'll find buyers for them.

Mike

Agree0 Disagree0

Deadwood, im guessing djourou, chamkah, park, arshavin, vela, bendter, alumina? the usual souns good tho!

gooonz

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry for first post - my bad ;) misread it

Hi guys,
Someone in the know is claiming that Arsenal have put a bid in for Gotze £18m plus Bendtner.
I cannot see them accepting this offer could maybe go up to £24 plus Bendtner but to be honest I have always felt we would go back in for him even with having only just signed a new contract and we all know that these contracts mean nothing these days and BVB have been interested in Bendtner for a while so you never know?
I also feel that M'Vila is a done deal and we seem to have put a bid in for Giroud as well cash plus Chamakh which is good as we are getting rid of the dead wood at the same time replacing with quality.

Well fingers crossedX

Deano

Believable18 Unbelievable22

What source is this from it sounds possible but at the same time it doesnt you know

Agree0 Disagree0

I would take but sounds too good to be true
SY4

Agree0 Disagree0

You think BVB will let Kagawa and Goetze BOTH leave in the same window?

Agree0 Disagree0

Some guy called @paul on just arsenal said about Gotze and he seems to have a lot of people who follow him?
I just hope it is true because we could really be left behind next season with all the players Manu, man city & Chelsea will be buying and have bought we need to keep up with the jones's if you know what I mean!

Deano

Agree0 Disagree0

Try 28 million + Bendtner. If Hazard of costing 32 million then Goetze is at the wry least worth the same amount.

G95

Agree0 Disagree0

R u talking about that twitter rubbish?

ibster

Agree0 Disagree0

No not twitter.

Deano

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Hazard is a better all around player than Goetze. But 18 million pounds is not nearly enough to get him.

Agree0 Disagree0

This was on bild the german newspaper supposedly. Can't really see this happening, although if it did would really prove les professeurs intent to build the team into a successful side. Also with the signing of podolski would surely go along way to keeping RVP. Fingers crossed its true.
GoonerSG

Agree0 Disagree0

Apparently we put in a late bid last season of £35m for Goetze so I think the interest is definitely there. Whether or not we really push for this one is speculation. Would love to see it happen though!

Agree0 Disagree0

He signed an extention to hes contract a few months ago.....talking rubbish

Agree0 Disagree0

It's not like he'd be the first player to go to another team after signing a new contract.

Agree0 Disagree0

I heard it was £24m cash or £30m + Bendtner!

Agree0 Disagree0

I REALLY hope this happens. One good things is that no one else seems to be after him. IMAGINE him and the ox swapping between the wing and CAM and jack just behind. Would wipe the floor with Europe in a couple of years.

Agree0 Disagree0

Getting the dreams in early I see...
Can you really expect Wenger and the Board to break our record transfer fee not only once but TWICE this summer?

£17m for M'Vila?
£18-24m Plus Bendtner for Gotze?
£5-10m? & somehow convincing Montpellier to take Chamakh off us.

Didn't everyone on here last summer think Mata/Hazard/Honda were all a whisker away from signing?

I hope you are right and this is all going to happen but i just posted about doing a dance if Squillaci leaves ffs! If this is true ill load a video onto youtube of me eating my hat. I think we as Gooners should really lower our expectations a bit because otherwise this is going to be another very long summer. Wenger might bring in one or 2 "Marquee" type signings but only if big players like RVP/Song/Theo leave. Even then its a longshot.

p.s "Someone in the know" did make me chuckle.

Gooner Bill

Agree0 Disagree0

Goetze is better than Hazard but I can't see us signing him. I really hope we do, though. It would show everyone else that we mean business again.

Agree0 Disagree0

^^^ To the comment 'do you really think BVB will let kagawa and gotze leave in the same window?' Did you think that we would sell Na$ri and Fabregas in the same window? Anythings possible although I find it hard to believe we will get all these big names.

Agree0 Disagree0

Couldnt see it in the paper, was on twitter about Goetze, been out for 6 months with Dortmund, think this is just another made up one on twitter

Agree0 Disagree0

Hazard is a more rounded player like ronaldo is to messi...in terms of free kicks and penalties and heading ability...

but in terms of impact on a game, i have seen hazard play and yes he is awesome...but gotze? F.Me....hes going to be a legend in the right situation.

his stats already line up, who to me is possibly the greatest player of all time...

We know him only as the playstation.

alrite guys not sure if its true but been hearin RVP has signed a new contract and is staying

Believable17 Unbelievable24

@BarclaysLeague: Our sources suggest that Robin van Persie has agreed a new contract and will remain with Arsenal. More to follow soon...

Agree0 Disagree0

Just read that twitter post myself, I might treat the wife to a love making sesh if true.

Agree0 Disagree0

Would be great news if true, but I dont believe a single word that is posted in twit. Believe in Arsenal.com

Gavsta

Agree0 Disagree0

Its not an official one but it does kinda look like it has gen sources. seems to have got the liverfool thing over rogders correct.....

Agree0 Disagree0

^^^ best post ever !

Treat her good from us mate - remember to shout "TRANSFEERRRRRR RUMMMMMOURRRS" in climax....

MIKEE

Agree0 Disagree0

^^^^ I trust you will be thinking of your wife during this and not RVP!

Kermit79

Agree0 Disagree0

Is that true

Agree0 Disagree0

That twitter is not affiliated with the actual barclays premier league though. So i dont think their sources know anymore then anyone else.
Tim Taylor

Agree0 Disagree0

How if he's with dutch squad?

Agree0 Disagree0

Just heard from a bbc journalist that robins people and gazidis held talk last monday but didnt agreed anything yet

Agree0 Disagree0

^ what a chap!

Agree0 Disagree0

She may be a little warn out from earlier, sorry ;)

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

He won't go. his wife and kids are settled in london he's just holding out for a good deal and waiting to see who we bring in. we can't blame him for that. as for the yanks in charge i think usmanov should make them a offer they can't refuse because if he takes over david dean will be back and we'd start winning trophies again

Agree0 Disagree0

1. The same BBC journalist, got it completely wrong ref Arteta signing last year, i don't think he has signed, Gasidis could fly to Holland as his agent is dutch as well.

Agree0 Disagree0

This is by no means a "done deal", it's just a rumour. But there's rumblings that since the montpellier president is only willing to seel giroud (due to buy out clause) and M'Biwa (due to gentleman's agreemant over joining a big club), we're going to offer 10 million, chamakh, and a yet to be determined youngster on loan, for giroud and first deferral on belhanda

Believable19 Unbelievable13

Hopefully what you just said is true

Agree0 Disagree0

Would be nice but cant see them selling both as would be very hard to replace but who knows only time will tell.

Gavsta

Agree0 Disagree0

As much as I would love this to be true - I am reasonably confident we wont be able to do this.

I mean - in an ideal world chamakh and djourou to head to montpellier and then Mbwia and Giroud head the other way...

But Giroud in SURELY means RVP out...

No thanks.

Billybob

Agree0 Disagree0

To the last post... not necessarily, the current team showed themselves to be up to beating any one. I think Wenger will be looking to beef it up so that it can compete on all fronts more comfortably, with out being so vulnerable to injuries. Also just think, how good would VP be playing bergkamp's role with Poldi or Giroud up front - better than cesc ever was I dare say...

Agree0 Disagree0

I reckon thats not a bad idea....if rvp was moved back into the old no 10 position and an out an out power cf signed it would be good for him. some players just enjoy scoring goals but some prefer creating them....rvp is more than capable of both. anyone can play up front with him. he just needs the burden taken off him, otherwise he could burn out after the euros. ie if he burns out we have the problem of him potentially breaking down again. Giroud would not be his replacement but be more advanced upfield i reckon.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 May 2012 14:51:07
RvP is going.
Giroud would be replacement.
No truth in M'Vila signing.
In talks with an attacking midfielder (don't know a name)

Ben

Lol u change ur mind everyday. Your "sources" need to make up their minds haha

Agree0 Disagree0

ROBIN VAN PERSIE IS STAYING!
So go back to the spuds site you moron.

M'Vila is a done deal and there will be a few surprises as there will be a mass clear out at Arsenal with some real quality coming in.

Deano

Agree0 Disagree0

Ben, why do you keep putting yourself up there to get shot down. All of your predictions have been wide of the mark & i think a lot of us are bored with your statements.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ben don't listen to those kids. this site is for rumours. you're doing a good job keep it up!

iceman

Agree0 Disagree0

Weren't you on here saying nothing was happening and no one was coming in yesterday?!

People will shoot you down mate stop making it up you are starting to become the new raz and a bit boring!

Agree0 Disagree0

Nothing new about this. Ben was giving rubbish posts the same time 12 months ago.

Agree0 Disagree0

This is a site for rumours true but not stories..we have the talk@"-@& and others for that...the mvil a Rvp story has gone on for too long ...so wouldnt it be useful stuff that one actually heard instead of the regurgitation we r all somewhat guilty of

Agree0 Disagree0

Ben wern't you convinced goetze was signing in jan too? Surley you are making up stuff or your 'source' is lying to you.

FW

Agree0 Disagree0

Ben find another sport you know nowt

Agree0 Disagree0

Ben I always thought you had good authority... I've got a feeling this is someone using Ben's name.

Agree0 Disagree0

What's changed concerning the M'vila deal?

Ed - I have heard a rumour about the potential move of Craig Gordon to Arsenal - I know that there was reported interested a few years ago, do you know if there is truth to it this summer? {Ed022's Note - Not that I know of mate, although it is a possibility I suppose? The only problem is his injury record.}

Believable13 Unbelievable15

30 May 2012 13:15:49
Djourou admits he will probably leave Arsenal this summer.

Perhaps a new defender is on the Cards. Mbwia not called to Euros, so we could snap him up. Can play anywhere across the back four, young, powerful!

Billybob

Believable29 Unbelievable7

Mbiwa is beast

Agree0 Disagree0

How i wish we get mbiwa..irespective of djouru's departure!

Please let this be true and rid us of the biggest bit of deadwood at our club

Just come back from france near rennes ( live in jersey)
M'VILLA has not signed for arsenal, friends down there say arsenal where looking at him but off field antics may have cost him move.
HE has not signed AND HAS NOT LEFT FRENCH TRAING CAMP

JERSEY GUNNER

Believable21 Unbelievable14

The story of him leaving the training camp is true, it was reported by Matt Spiro who is with the French team as an official UEFA reporter.

M'Vila picked up a knock in training and was evidently allowed to leave for a while in order to rest. It had nothing to do with his club future.

Overly optimistic fans got the wrong end of the stick and deduced that he must be on his way to sign for Arsenal. They were wrong.

Stezza

Agree0 Disagree0

Big false... He left the training camp though it was just becoz of an injury. And there are small issues over the fee so stop reporting false stories

Kalou has signed for Schalke. Breathe easy folks :-)

Believable22 Unbelievable11

I wish the van der vaart rumours was true too...but that seems made up.

Agree0 Disagree0

Phew! I'd much rather sign Benayoun permanently.

Agree0 Disagree0

Where did you see about Kalou?

Agree0 Disagree0

He hasnt, its says hes "set" to.

Agree0 Disagree0

And exhale pheeeeeeeew

MIKEE

Agree0 Disagree0

If this is true, i will run naked on my street in joy

Agree0 Disagree0

Phew... I want Olivier Giroud & Sturridge!

Lets hope wenger doesn't look at a cheaper alternative...

Ok. guys very quick post now from what I learnt last night. Firstly, I am not 100 per cent sure on my sources so not sure just how valid all of this is, but nevertheless I am going to tell you.
Yann M'villa is reportedly a done deal. All that is left is the announcement. This has been said by two or threee people who I would consider as reliable. However, others say that the deal is not completely done yet. Regardless of what is or is not true I am confident that M'villa will be an Arsenal player next year.
Arsenal have made contact with Montpellier but not actually made a formal bid yet. All that we have done is express and interest in the player. Nothing else. Apart from that all I know is that he is friends with Koscielny after their time together at Tours. Do not expect any deal for him to be done until after the Euros, if a deal is to be done.
Now, I do not believe that Arsenal will be signing Llorente and I think it is untrue. However, there was contact between Arsenal and Athletic Bilbao. It is unlikely that it was about Llorente and it is more likely to be about Pre-season or Sponsors. So, I highly doubt Llorente will be coming in but I hope to be able to confirm why contact was made in the coming days.
GoonerForLife3

Believable15 Unbelievable17

The Montpelliard player is Giroud. He and Kos played together at Tours.

Hope you're right pal. {Ed022's Note - Montpelliard? I think you mean Montpellier mate.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Although this sounds great highly doubtful we will sign mvila due to the money demands. That being said we have the money we have the players to clear out for extra funds but wenger doesn't like spending money. Going for poorer versions of the main targets I.e nzonzi instead of mvila shows lack of ambition. I will eat my words would love to see a new LB,rb both to cover the constant injured full backs. De Jong wouldn't be to bad to bring a fighting spirit but we have song possibly the best holding midfeilder in the league. Mvila, llorente even grouid would be ideal signings. Maybe the fact of no trophy for so long could prompt Arsene to invest more money into better caliber of players. Fingers crossed.

DD Arsenal

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't know who these people are but according to the Metro, Rennes will not do business with anyone until after the euro's. Best case scenario, we sign him for £15m if he has a poor EC 2012

Agree0 Disagree0

Certainly hope it's Muniain from Bilbao

Agree0 Disagree0

Giroud rep is in check, he can't do anymore than what he did at his club so to wait til after the euros is insane, his price can only go up.

Agree0 Disagree0

Do you know a possibke timeframe for the announcement? Are your sources on tw*tter or through other means? Thanks, I really hope m'villa is done before euros contrary to newspaper reports today.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why do people spread so much BS. You think it is pretty much a done deal in the first sentence. However then you say Arsenal have NOT even made an offer.

In reality there may be one or two people on here that have legit info the rest just use hearsay and newspaper gossip and then just add "my source" says this or that when the truth is YOU have NO source.

It may be a done deal but my source tells me that Montpellier hope he has a great Euro 2012 so his price goes up and other parties become interested. :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

In the first part of your post its nearly a done deal, then suddenly we haven't even made a bid - which to me means no deal at all, so which is it? I suspect the no bid made part may be the only thing thats accurate

Agree0 Disagree0

Some people seem very confused. You do realise that M'Vila plays for Rennes not Montpellier ye? A

Agree0 Disagree0

He's talking about 2 different targets but forgets to name the 2nd as Giroud. M'Vila plays for Stade Rennes. Giroud plays for Montpellier.

Agree0 Disagree0

What a load of rubbish, most of this has been taken off Twitter.
Essexgooner

Agree0 Disagree0

^mate read the post properly. He mentioned done deal is for M'vila. No bid is for Montpeiller's Giroud.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rennes confirmed that they are not selling M'Villa until after euro 2012, I presume because they think he'll do well, get more interest and drive up the price?

Rob

Agree0 Disagree0

He is quoting that contact stuff with bilbao from lulblin. That guys speaks utter rubbish. Pay him a visit on twitter and observe how his info varies with the varying trends of twitter.. Anyways there is a certain issue with mvila transfer re the fees and the talks are still going on. Nigel de jong link ups are completely made up.. And I am not sure but the contact with bilbao was made ages before, nothing recent, and it was for susaeta...

GULP
