Arsenal will finish fourth again since we do have some quality just not enough, we'll probbly never win the cup again, coming to think of it what am I actually supporting? The profit hungry board? the team of players which changes each year? Or is it wenger? Giroud, Podolski and Carzola were all bought and are all class (I mean really how many of AW purchases in the grand scheme have been busts?, Dont name the few, everyone buys junk sometimes!) VP and Song were sold because THEY wanted greater financial incentive than we were prepared to offer.

This year we have Wilshire returning, OX being more involved, a healthy Verminator and yes even a crocked Diaby. We are two deep at every position and we finally have a defensive coach, the great Steve Bould as the number 2.

So get a grip with reality and be grateful to AW that he isnt wasting opportunities and resources on 2nd tier players (Van der Viel, Van de Vaart, Dempsey, really?), Remember if AW wasnt here with your expectations and lack of resources this club would be a mid table at best!

Arshavin wasn't a mercenary person when he signed was he. I seem to remember the shouts and screams for Wenger to spend some cash then. I don't quite know who everyone wanted us to sign this window but moving to the premiership isn't all rainbows. The uncertainty is with pod, giroud and walcott as to whether they can prove themselves as goalscorers. I for one will give them the time to do just that. I for one am proud we aren't like city, chelsea or psg. Might not have won anything for a while like a lot of clubs, but at least we have acted with dignity. Anybody that use his hard earned money to buy a season ticket to support his team has every right to criticize the management if he believes that the team is being weakened by their inaction. The fact is the Arsene Wenger and the Board are retroactive rather proactive. If we weren't thrashed 8-2 by Man Utd last season they probably wouldn't go out and buy players. Winners are proactive and don't wait for events to happen before they act. The team has been weakened by the sale of Song and the injury to Sagna. How many people seriously believe that Jenkenso is good enough to play RB if sagna did not recover in time. Would Jenkenson walk into the Man Utd, Chelsea or Man City team? Who is the replacement for Song? These are genuine questions that should be asked and every supporter have the right to ask those questions without being berated by some fools on this site. No one person is Arsenal.

We should not be spending stupid money like other teams but we should also not be breaking even when our team clearly lacked something last year.. What I want is Usmanov in as well. I'm so fed up of not winning anything that what we need is a billionaire that can blow all the other billionaires out of the water. We all remember what rvp wrote on his page regarding not renewing his contract by reasoning as follows:

"Out of my huge respect for Mr. Wenger, the players and the fans I don't want to go into any details, but unfortunately in this meeting it has again become clear to me that we in many aspects disagree on the way Arsenal FC should move forward."

+ AbuDhabi Sport network has mentioned earlier in August that arsenal offer was about 130k/week plus add-ons which makes it around 200k/week pounds...(plz correct if  numbers arenot accurate)

As we all can see..the Arsenal offer wasnt that bad.. 

I ve reached a point where i am really conviced that rvp saw ( the direction ) of the club much clear.. And maybe he knew (during his meeting with AW and that Mr.Gazidis strategy isnt winnng trophies but rather making more money and maybe thier only ambition is the stay in top four in PL. 

So.. I just came to conclusion that rvp along with song have made the right decesion.. 

I respect thier move away from the emirates.. And i wish u all the best. Rvp ..despite the fact that ur playing for our rival Man U.. i really wish u a bright future full of trophies and goals as i see u imo a wise footballer.

It's not people whining as such, but it's the reality of spending a season dreading each Saturday's results. I read someone's comment which I agree with, about how we actually make a profit every time these windows open and shut. We should be spending a min of �20 million just to keep in the mix. I was content with the way we did our business early on, but then after losing song we surely needed to add the cdm that everyone knows is needed, and poss a right full back to take the pressure off jenkinson. are we ever going to make this "one big marque signing?". I wonder when the club will make a statement claiming they were priced out of the main targets, it's not hard to figure out that big players demand bigger transfer fees and wages. Anyway, it's all too late now so come on you gooners let's put the scousers

You optimistic fans are going to have a real eye opener this season. Wait till cazorla gets destroyed by a heavy newcastle or stoke challenge and then what will we have? We'll be relying on a player who is under 20 and has been injured for over a year. And are we going to use frimpong in DM? Another player who has little experience and has also been injured for a while. So we balance the books on transfers? Where does the money from our 11 consecutive champions league campaigns go? Where does the money from our 65,000 seater stadium go? Balancing the books my arse. How can you arsenal fans be happy giving your money to greedy board members who are sucking the life out of our club? You clearly know little about the club and the heights we have reached! The lack of a striker could be a concession to Walcott and a midfielder would be much more likely than a defender as it seems that wenger doesn't see value in the market for right backs or CBs and he hates buying over market for defenders. In terms of midfielders he might go for an experienced loan to leave room for a strong comeback from Wilshere or a big step up from Ramsey. AW seems to feel that the first half of the season is an exercise in good faith and the second half is an exercise in controlled panic.

Why do the club promise new signings and then fail to deliver (of course, season ticket sales). Well, a defeat to Liverpool on Sunday will have the fans turn on the club and the Manager - not that they are bothered!

Why the panic? Ok, we have drawn our first 2 games 0-0, but overall we have looked pretty good and with a bit more luck would probably have won both. The team need to gel, Diaby looks like he will be getting back to his best (which I believe is as good as many CM in this country), and all being well Jack will be back soon too. That is like 2 new signings in midfield compared to last season, and with 3 new additions up front all looks promising. At the back, the best signing was Steve Bould as already we look a better unit and did anybody else notice that the entire back four have started to raise their arms in unison? Have faith, we do not have the funds to compete with the Arabs or the Russians of the field, but still compete well on the field.

There's a rumor that Lucas Biglia is being offered to Arsenal. I don't know if this is true but it's a rumor which might follow thorugh.

Same old story. Wenger is going to rely on the injured players coming back fit and raring to go, but we know that there will be set-backs. The club do not have the ambition to win the PL and are content finishing in either 3rd or 4th and competing in the Champs League. The financial model seems to be sell 2 big players each year and make a profit. This is pretty selfish and it is about time that th club started thinking about the fans loyalty - which will soon start to wane with continued failure - 8 years and counting!
