Benzema is trying to reach better salary from A.W. If AW doesn't react fast MCFC is going to get him, they can pay any salary. Cesc will stay at least for 2 years if MCFC or CFC do get him first. Hopefully Nasri will extend contract. Bendtner will probably leave. Arshavin stays. Gervinho might come. Don't expect Hazard only if Cesc or Nasri leave.

Chris Samba - supposedly £10m bid
Phil Jagielka - Doubt it, better, younger options available
Mamadou Sakho - I wish, but he might stay at PSG
Leighton Baines - Wishful thinking, unlikely
Gary Cahill - Potential
Per Mertesacker - interesting, but too slow
Ricky Alvarez - latter-stage negotiations ongoing for £9m deal
Axel Witsel - Arsenal is his dream move, but inlikely
Scott Parker - ideal signing IMO
Ashley Young - more likely to go to Utd, despite being a Gunners fan
Willian - If Barca and City are interested, forget it
Eden Hazard - Still the fantasy signing, increasingly unlikely, richer teams are interested, plus Lille have CL football

To the guy who said Puyol is captain of Barce and said Cesc is coming so what's new? Puyol said that last season. Wenger has said this season Cesc is not for sale - he didn't put a price on him. The papers are putting the price tag on him. Exactly the same scenario as last year. Nothing has changed in the clubs stance.

To those who think cesc is staying.

1) Wenger has put a price tag of 50 million compared to last year when he was not for sale.

2) Barca have tabled an offer for 30 million so negotiations will be ongoing for the next month

3) Pep wants cesc and if barca are to keep him they should buy the player he wants.

4) no barca don't need more attacking. they have three very good strikers and i don't see the need for them to add rossi for 40 million.

5) their major signing if at all is cesc, and then its backups mostly. Puyol who btw is captain has said cesc is coming to barcelona.


For all the taping and whatever we wish to say about that club, i still blame wenger for the departure of cesc, he did not build around the player with experience, so its only natural that he is going to a club which is now labelled as possibly the greatest of all time.

'Arsenal linked with huge superstar signing'
Reports coming in from Italy following Inter Milan's cup final win over Palermo, suggest that Samuel Eto'o , who came close to joining Arsenal in the summer of 2009 before joining Inter, could now be on the verge of signing for the Gunners.

Arsene Wenger is said to be very keen on bringing the Cameroon international striker to the Emirates to beef up an inadequate strike force, especially with Niklas Bendtner and Andrei Arshavin possibly leaving Arsenal, Eto'o would be a welcome breath of fresh air to a club whose only real effective first team striker remains Dutch International Robin van Persie.

It is not known at present what kind of fee Arsene Wenger and the board are prepared to pay for him but sources close to the North London club suggest a fee could be announced in the next few days.

If Eto'o ends up at Arsenal it would represent a significant coup for Wenger, it would also be a slight detour from his usual transfer policy, but will at least placate the Arsenal fans, who are starting to make their frustrations much more vocal

I really can't see this one happening but apparently we could be on the verge of signing samuel eto and it could be announced in the next few days! He's old and well known and surely even tho past his best still expensive so really can't imagine it, but wenger did say he wanted experience and medal winners so. . . . . .

Jagielka is apparently Arsenal's primary cb target for £12m + Vela. Being bang on 6ft would he solve our aerial and set piece problems? (Ed I know you rate him highly what do you think is he the answer?

ARSENAL TRANSFERS SUMMER 2011
Nasri staying 99.9%. Wenger admitted that there is a minute financial part that Nasri is not agreeing to. This will be sorted by mid june. If not he will be sold but Wenger was sure that he would NOT sell to Man UTD.

Fabregas staying one more season. This will be his last season at the emirates trophy or no trophy.

Denilson out for sure. Wenger will sell him to the highest bidder form ital or Spain. He won't be joining a PL club. Wenger wants aroung 7-10 mil for him. Roma and sevilla are interested.
Rosicky to stay for one more season.
My sources haven't confirmed anything on the clichy situation as yet.

Falcao won't be coming in because he is too expensive. Wenger wants a good striker who is willing to sit on the bench because he is going to use only one striker i.e. RVP When fit. SO kevin from Lorient is going to join arsenal with two of the current arsenal youngsters extending thier loan spells for one more year + 12 mil

Samba is a done deal to be announced on June 6th and Ricky alaverz might join arsenal. Wenger wants to pay aroung 4 mil + future add ons but valez want 9 mil for him upfront.

The only reason Cesc was allowed to go to the Spanish Grand Prix was that he wasn't going to leave Arsenal, otherwise Wenger insisted that he went to Craven Cottage & said goodbye to the fans. Fact.
