It seems the Cesc Fabregas transfer saga (weird when it's him coming to us!) has split the room.

I think he would be a brilliant signing and would really add to the team (squad depth would be brilliant with him on the bench behind Jack and Rambo) he'd be a good man to bring on with 20mins to go. I joke. Or do I?

My only concern with signing him is there are clearly 4-5 positions that need strengthening first and I worry that Wenger will maybe miss a position but claim it's ok because for £30m Cesc is an awesome right back in the making and he's a fine sub goalie given half a chance.

To summarise, I'd love Fab back but in addition to 4-5 signings in the right positions.

Anyone agree or disagree?

If it can be done Arsene will do it Greeny of that I have no doubts, he loves the lad above his love for Jack even.

Agree3 Disagree0

100% agree.
You don't even need to spend massively.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd love Fab back, I think he could move back or forward as required and might force, or allow, for more tactical formations over the course of a season, and he would allow us to rotate more.

Plus, it's a zero sum game, do you want him going to another Prem challenger, they would be stronger and we would be weaker.

Agree with what you say about other positions, but Cesc is a world class footballer and when one of those come along, you have to take the opportunity.

Agree0 Disagree0

Have to agree. would love him back but not if it means we lose out elsewhere. cesc is a god but he ain't no centre half or goalkeeper!

Cesc has to come back to his Arsenal DNA to build strength and depth in this squad, also perfect replacement for Arteta! But also agree, we need centre half, DM, LW and most of all a pacey striker for Ozil to provide for!

Agree0 Disagree0

Hmmm I really can't call this one, although sunday broadsheet is saying wenger's not interested. Would be amazing for squad depth - ramsey injury would not have been an issue for example - but could ramsey, santi, jack, ozil, cesc and the Ox really all be accommodated enough to keep them all happy?

ssn Radio confirms QPR striker Loic Remy has agreed personal terms with Arsenal. Any truth Ed?

Believable16 Unbelievable17

{Ed002's Note - I really don't know.}

Dags will be pleased but also feel under more pressure than Remy and Arsene put together for it to work out well, be careful what you wish for DG mate :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope so! Completely changed my tune on this deal, I'd be happy now just to have a signing in the bag, so many windows pass where we get no one.
Handy players as well, could be lethal off the bench. But still he'd be Bendtners replacement, we needed another striker last year and therefore will still need another, if we get Remy.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's true, Young viper said it

Agree0 Disagree0

The Sunday Mirror has also mentioned that he's agreed personal terms, so it must be true!

Agree0 Disagree0

If remy is the only forward we sign that is far from good enough, shows no desire, safe signing that will only help us reach 4 th place tropy again, very dissapointing

This is Ed002. I know you get annoyed when people say about the fabregas clause. Just wondering your thoughts that S Sports are now saying he is leaving and they believe he has a 30million clause in his contract. Why are they saying that! Surely can't be correct that he would just have a low fee on his contract. Hope u don't kind me asking I just wanted to hear your opinion on it :)

Believable5 Unbelievable2

{Ed002's Note - The only clause that relates to Arsenal is that the club can, if they chose, match an acceptable offer for Fabregas and then the player can decide - that is all. It has been suggested that Barcelona would accept €37M for the player.}

Thanks ed!

if we are the only ones in the running; for example Cesc ONLY wants to come back to us and no one else,

would Barca accept a lower offer?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Why would they do that?}

Thanks Ed002. That is the clearest explanation of the situation I have heard. All that's needed. Obviously such clarity won't sell papers and provide click bait, so I look for much confusion to be thrown around on this in the press.

In the bag - Remy, Aurier and Cesc?
Next up - Schneiderlin
Then a centre half, winger and keeper?

Could Wenger finish his shopping my end of July?

Excited about this window - roll on June 10th

Believable15 Unbelievable13

In the bag? Since when? I would love this to happen but it's rumours on ssn radio. No coincidence that Sky also run their own betting sideline.

Love your optimism!

Just read on a website ( can't remember which one ), that Manchester United are consider a bid for Gervinho. Only trouble is, Roma want £40 million!

Same website stats that Arsenal will have a £100 million transfer chest, with Ruddy, Benzema, Bender, Remy, Manduzic and Schniderlin all top targets.

I'd be happy with those! lol

Heard arsenal are interested in signing Joao Periera of Valencia.

Believable7 Unbelievable20

The very fact the same website is stating gervinho's price at $40 mil, means you should surely doubt the rest of the info? haha

Hi Ed can you shed some light on the Juanfran deal?, I thought we were going in for Aurier? I think Aurier is much more talented and can see him growing into a world class player. Also is it true that Fabregas is really considering a return?

Believable7 Unbelievable3

{Ed002's Note - Juanfran will be an alternative to Aurier. I could only speculate about what Fabregas is thinking.}

31 May 2014 02:18:10
Talk of john ruddy for 15 mil, you could buy 100 million Chocolate frogs with that, know what I'd do, poll ed? :'D

Believable6 Unbelievable7

{Ed025's Note - i will put that forward saint....but im in the chocolate frogs camp myself..

31 May 2014 11:55:43
Ed, have arsenal arranged talks with Real Madrid over benzema?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - No.}

Okay, ed, ssn saying cesc fabregas is set to leave barca with the premier league his preferred option, is there any chance wenger will make contact with barca to sign him back?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I don't know.}

I LOVE CHOCOLATE FROGS!

any truth to the rumour that we have an 8million bid for Morata agreed with Real with a buy back clause?

Believable7 Unbelievable17

The talk now is he's going to Italy and I think for a striker we should be aiming for someone more prolific at the top level. 9 goals in 34 appearances is not what we need IMO.

Hi, I work in a car show room in Enfield, which a few celebs and footballers come down, I over heard two guys speaking about Joleon joining arsenal I'm guessing they meant lescott, so I started ear wigging, one of the guys plays for Birmingham no idea who he was though.
