We are trying to sign Suarez but Liverpool want £55M, deal won't happen at that price. We have other targets but none of them are strikers as AW believes that if he can't sign Suarez Akpom and Sanogo will step up and score the goals Suarez would between them. can't see them doing it though.

Believable25 Unbelievable67

You MUST be joking. How can you even entertain the idea of two YOUNG new players just being drafted in to take care of 30 goals between them in their first senior season? Some of the things I read on here just leave me flabbergasted that someone can just make these things up. Has lying started to pay? because if so I've made some terrible life choices. Liars, liars everywhere.

Agree4 Disagree1

Akpom and Sanogo would be lucky to score 10 goals between them. We need a new centre forward, a world class centre forward and every Arsenal fan knows it. Time for Wenger to wake up and face facts

Agree2 Disagree3

Where has AW said that about those two youngsters. Don't make it up

Agree3 Disagree0

According to some rumours liverpool now want close to £100 mill for him all because of the bale move, it seems liverpool are being persons thinking a club would pay that for suarez, or maybe they just don't want him to go so they are putting out stupid demands for a transfer fee, either way I think its time for wenger to move to another player and get them.

Agree1 Disagree2

Akpom? he's about 17 years old and scored 2 goals in reserves last year. get a grip.

Agree2 Disagree0

Hey banbury gooner you ain't far from me iv just moved from london to up here
Ali

Agree1 Disagree1

That's 70 mil with wages for two years. As our 70m kitty is to Last two years that's it gone. No wonder wenger doesn't want to buy him for that. Wenger is always right. Just accept it. If he thinks those two youngsters are good enough then they are (although I doubt he said that). Whilst he is our manager we have to support and respect his choices.

Saint arsenal

Agree2 Disagree1

Sanogo is capable of 15+ if he got a run at it if you ask me.

Still can't see AW not bringing in someone else up top though.

Agree0 Disagree3

LOOOOOL how are you attempting to talk on behalf on Wenger.

Akpom is 17 and will be loaned out most likely, Sanogo when we bought him Wenger admitted he would have to decide whether to keep him or loan him out in his first season.

If you wanted to talk about how we use our strikers next season you would have done better to mention Podolski and Walcott as alternative options instead of two players who wouldn't ever be considered right now to be our main strikers in their careers.

You don't put that weight on an 17 and 20 year old.

Agree1 Disagree0

The 70m is the bare minimum we have to use. We have much more than that and it does not include wages. This is not our first year of big spending it will be over the next two seasons. With substantial funds.

Agree1 Disagree0

Just heard, and it isn't a rumour that brendan rogers says he values suarez the same as gareth bale, so woteva bale goes for he wants the same, ie £80-100m. that's bloody stupid money.
might as well forget about suarez and try to go for somebody else.
chas

Agree1 Disagree1

Ali, where is that then

Agree0 Disagree0

Our strikers are just fine as they are. Giroud will improve quite a lot this season. Walcott can play #9 if he has to. Pod got played out of pos last season. If it were me, i'd do everything to convince fab to come and play him as the #9. He destroyed italy at euro 2012 as a false 9. So if anything, fab is our answer as a support st, false 9/9

Agree0 Disagree3

I can't say is it true but definitely Wenger is stupid enough to think something like that at some point

Agree0 Disagree1

Fab left ultimately because we had no chance to win anything. Why on earth would he come back to an even weaker, less likely to win team.

Agree0 Disagree0

"Fab left ultimately because we had no chance to win anything. Why on earth would he come back to an even weaker, less likely to win team".

Well because now we have money its about building a winning team (hopefully).
Unfortunately for cesc he's main time at arsenal was during paying for the stadium.
That's over now and he could be a part of new era for arsenal.

Agree0 Disagree0

Because he's won almost everything he can at barca already, he also loves arsenal and he didn't leave to win he left for a chance to play at his BOYHOOD CLUB.

same as rvp. oh wait

Arsene Wenger is willing to wait a few more days on the Suarez deal, if this does not go through. He will pull the trigger on other targets. I'm not ITK just watching the emirates cup and this is apparently what has been said by Arsene and his team. Hopefully true!

ValleyGooner!

Believable43 Unbelievable14

Wait for what? They want the money we will never be ready to pay, nowhere near to that sum actually.

There's very strong rumours doing the rounds that chelsea are going to try and sign suarez, mourinho sees him as the perfect replacement for torres when he returns to atletico Madrid,

Believable13 Unbelievable55

Mourinho has said he wants to build his attack around Torres.

Agree3 Disagree0

If that's true than pay attention arsene. watch mourinho show you how to sign a player. go in, offer market value, sign player and probably win league with a player of suarez's ability.
chas

Agree3 Disagree1

Are you for real?! Of course Chelski can just go in & offer the money, they have a billionaire owner! Get a grip

Agree0 Disagree0

They have a billionaire owner? don't we have stan kroenke and usmanov, aren't these 2 blokes suppose to be 2 of the richest blokes on the planet?
people slag chelsea off but at least abramovich dips his hands in his pockets unlike our 2.
chas

Agree2 Disagree1

As one of the EDs hinted at after the biting incident Chelsea may not be a preferred location for Surez or Chelsea.

More likely to move to RM than them. These latest noises are likely the Pool trying to increase the bid from Arsenal who remain the only bidding club. {Ed027's Note - there is a 3rd club interested in Suarez

Arsenal to sign Guilavogui as CDM

Suarez will sign

Fabregas will go right to the wire.

that is all we will do in this market.

Believable53 Unbelievable55

Its believed that there is a possibility for Christian Eriksen bid for Arsenal.

Agree0 Disagree1

Do you really believe this?

Agree0 Disagree1

Yes to Suarez, but fabregas isn't going anywhere. He very rarely speaks about his plans but the one time he has he said he's staying at Barca, the rest is media b/s speculation
