{Ed001's Note - nothing mate, I would think Vardy was seen as his replacement, judging by what I am told.}

Surely Theo's wages make a move extremely difficult unless he leaves on a free or part of a swap deal that involves us contributing towards his wages in some way.

unfortunately g62 i think you're right, don't see him moving this summer although i really don't rate him and with him gone we could get ourselves a top forward or wide player in his place.

I've seen a quote from Theo saying he's fully committed to Arsenal and has no interest in moving . yet.

Ed002,
First of all it's great to see you back on the Arsenal page - stuff the idiots and their offensive nonsense.

I have questions about two players - the first being Aubameyang. We know Wenger likes him etc, but is there a chance of a concrete bid materialising this summer? I would imagine, as is so often the case, we'd be severely put off by the asking price and go for someone cheaper, but is it beyond the realm of possibility for us to snatch him up this summer?

Second, Koscielny. Hearing a few rumours about Bayern wanting him. Personally I can't see him going there to sit on the bench behind Hummels and Boateng, but I was wondering if you knew anything about this? Would be a disaster for our defence if we lost him.

As ever, thanks to all the Eds for the great work you're doing.

{Ed002's Note - There is seemingly no remaining interest in Aubameyang from Valencia, Juventus, Spurs, Roma or either of the Milanese clubs who have all been priced out of the market. Interest of Manchester United went with van Gaal. Whilst Dortmund are happy to see the back of him, it will only be at a high price - and I think that may well block a move and force a rethink over a new contract. The player has made it clear that he would like to move to Italy. However, that has not deterred Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atletico, Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City who have all had him watched this season. I cannot imagine a move to Barcelona being viable until one of their first choice forwards, such as Suarez, moves on. Arsenal or Chelsea might be well placed if they have the stomach for the expenditure and can convince the player the move is right for him - but it would be a very major change to the Arsenal (who the player previousy said he didn't want to play for) approach to buying players with such a significant asking price. Chelsea's interest is elsewhere at the moment but they may return with an offer. Real Madrid have already once raised the option of offering Morata as part of a deal. Manchester City are very keen and have held discussions with Dortmund who will keep him rather than let hm leave cheaply - they too might return with an offer. Plenty of baggage with him as well. Atletico have recently approached Dortmund to enquire about the availability of the player but they would look to include one of two players in a deal.

Bayern Munich has enquired after the availability of Laurent Koscielny with his agent.}}

Koscielny available!? ed why on earth would Arsenal have him being available. Seems insane to me.

Think eds saying that Bayern are basically asking if kos is available, and by asking his agent he's asking "can he be swayed" I guess.

That's what I think anyway lol.

So Asano signs! Two signings and only a few days into the window.

Need a solid centre half like Williams - takes no prisoners and leads.

I was just reading a report on the player on goal. com and he can play out wide and is very quick so I think he might stay with the 1st team and be given a chance as back up to Walcott and iwobi.

Hello ed, i remember earlier in the window you mentioned that u believe arsene will make strong signings because it seems like he wants to win now, do u still feel the same about that statement or is it starting to fade away?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - yes, there is still plenty of time yet. I still believe Wenger wants to win this season.}

03 Jul 2016 15:33:40
Your the only person making me still trust arsene ed lol. But at the start of thr season will we still see giroud starting vs Liverpool?

If he doesn't show the ambition this summer and we fail again he won't be our manager next season but if he does and we put in a proper title challenge then what's the problem if he stays?
Either or if the worst comee to the worst this will be the last wasted summer.

Hi eds, is this the result of Ben Wrigglesworths scouting, if so on reflection may not be as mad as it seems.

{Ed002's Note - Wenger knows the Japanese game very well.}
