Alright Gents and Jenny,

Wenger has come out and said that he thinks we won't start the transfer saga til July 15th due to the World Cup etc so don't expect any transfers before August!

Ed, Is there any truth in gotze wanting to leave Bayer and if so would we have any interest or would draxler be top choice?

{Ed002's Note - All Goetze said was he wanted to be considered by the coach and get more time on the pitch. I don't see how that relates to him wanting to leave Bayern Munich. If Arsenal want Goetze they have to follow due process - which traditionally does not involve a knee jerk reaction to something on Twitter or whatever.}

He played 90mins today and smashed a hat trick so he's shown what he can do.

He won't be going anywhere!

So, reading Wengers interview, I interpret that he wants to add 2 or 3 new positions and fill the spots of Sagna and Fabianski, but is hoping they stay. Those 2 or 3, at the moment, seem to be Greizmann, Bender and Remy. Assuming Fab and Bac leave, we look to be bringing in Schmiechel and Aurier. Is that a fair summary of how we are looking at transfer targets at the moment Eds? Would Gooners be happy with those transactions in the summer?

{Ed002's Note - There have been a lot of players looked by Arsenal including all of these. Some of the players that there has been interest in are not viable for one reason or another (Costa for example). Others will have been deemed not suitable. Some will decide that a move to Arsenal is not for them as they will have a choice of options. Where the club ends up in terms of making offers? I could only speculate and don't want to be doing that.}

Don't get your hopes up. One goalkeeper, one rightback and Drmic.
Anything else and I'll be amazed.
I think you can safely forget about Griezmann.

Yup, a low cost or free keeper. A right back assuming Sanga goes & a defensive midfield player.
This assumes the likes of Vermaelen & Podolski stay.

Eds, vela has a buy out clause of about £24m I believe, but a buy back clause for us of £3.5m, a whopping £1m more than we sold him for, anyway none of this is really relevant.

What I want to know is if we are looking into bringing him back? He's matured a lot over in Spain. And he's a lot cheaper than Griezmann and Draxler would be.

{Ed002's Note - Italy or Dortmund or a new contract are the most likely right now.}

Vela was quoted today as saying something like, I could see myself back at Arsenal, or another team in the PL. Seems like a very Wenger signing, we need a striker and he's excellent value, considering his form since joining Sociadad. Eds, could it be possible a deal could be made whereby Sociadad agree to sell us Griezmann, if we don't activate that clause? I'd personally love to see us take both, very good value for 30m there!

{Ed002's Note - You are getting carried away with "clauses" and their power to influence the transfer of other players.}

Fair enough Ed002, I can only go by what I read. I just figure, given Sociodads financial situation, they'd much prefer market value for Vela, if there in fact is a 4m buyback option for us.

{Ed002's Note - It is never as simple as people think.}

Outback - fair point and I had the same thought.

Vela has been in great form. He always showed potential - and I would be happy for him to come back.
