Well according to what I was told Wenger was looking at a lot of left midfielders because he wanted to shift Poldi to the centre. Arda Turan, Lopez and Villa were all looked at. Also Capoue and Amorebiata were both talked to but St. Etienne and Athletic Bilbao were both reluctant to sell.

Apparently Adrian is ridiculously one-footed so buying him primarily as a left AM would be a little much. Turan is a better fit but he's older and probably more expensive. If Falcao goes in the summer, the likelihood of either leaving Atletico drops precipitously.

hi I don't usually post on here, but I was at the arsenal vs reading game when I overheard two men talkin about amis begovic saying the deal was done with a player going stoke on loan.

If this was true the only player I see it being is Carl Jenkinson as they were interested in taking him on loan and January, this would mean that Arsenal aren't going to stick with Carl and will buy a new right back. However I do not see Begovic leaving and if he were to I doubt he'd go to arsenal over Manchester Utd.

Jenk going the other way then? they were interested in January. after some of the performances he's put in in doubt it. and the sagna situation looking like he could leave. I don't think we will buy another keeper and be left with no right back apart from bellerin, who isn't even first team

I was told the other day that Wenger didn't buy too many players during January because after the buys of Park, Santos and Arshavin (to an extent) he didn't want to buy players who he felt would not be 100% successful at the club. However we were looking at Capoue, Belhanda and Adrian Lopez. We also looked at Holtby in the summer but decided to buy Cazorla instead.

AdrianLopez is an average footballer who had a good season. Look at his career stats and what he does for his club now! Belhanda is overrated! If you want an attacking player in the mold go for proven class in Marco Reus or Isco.
