Nice to see youngsters coming through and saving the club a fortune.

Why is Le Coq stalling on a contract? 2 reasons I think.
(1) he doesn't want to be Spyders or anyone else's back up No.2 next season
(2) he's a free agent in the summer and in an excellent position to negotiate a very big pay rise from potential new clubs after show casing his ability recently.
Solution? give the lad assurance he will remain our first choice DM next season and we will only pursue a back up to him in the summer.
Surely a Le Coq in the hand is worth two Spyders in the bush

{Ed025's Note - one word mate....MONEY..

Your probably right Ed, shame if that's the big sticking point especially if he's being unrealistic in his demand's.

Shame if he is holding out for money, he has barely played 10 games and that's not even a barometer. i'm sure they are giving him sufficient wages but his agent is probably pushing for a significant payrise.

if coq has faith in his abilities he should not fear wenger getting a better DM, because we do need a better DM, he should appreciate learning from a better DM and knowing he has a shot at being the first player off the bench and in 2-3 years time depending on how he works on his game the first name on the sheet for his position.

we should not bowl over and give these guys whatever they want, its shameful.

same for theo, been out for ages, has a couple of good games, barely keeps fit or barely bulked up, will look for a contract payrise in extension or play the i'm going to leave game. if he really wants to do that we should look for a replacement this summer and field offers for him, i'm sure liverpool would love to throw 40 odd mill and a pound our way.

Quite agree laker, greedy players are milking us all, they are more than well off and I hope his attitude to everything is better than the likes of addebayor and all the other mercenries out there. It is right that he should take his time in his decision making and i'm sure he will sign. By the way I pressed disagree button by mistake, so one minus vote is wrong from me.

the agree or disagree buttons mean nothing to me steve. everyone has an opinion.

i just think these players or rightly known as divas are talking more with their mouth than their feet.

walcott speaks more being out for arsenal than the captain of Man city or Chelsea. I love the guy but it just reeks of ADD

i don't need to know what he thinks of arsenal after every game and every performance, even wenger plays down situations while the players seem to be ahead of themselves, rather childish mentality. and before you say they are only 24-25, I can only say look at messi and ronaldo and with 3-4 years of seniority on them how much they have accomplished and how they let their work talk. good old fashion hard work never fails but its more about pretending for some.

{Ed025's Note - i think your being unfair there lakes, i like to see players talk about the club and the game, it shows they care and creates a bond with the fans for me mate.....but each to their own..

Disagree with what you are saying about Theo. Our most important player by a distance, and he has a great attitude to go with it.

Plus Wenger has already said Coq will 90 something percent sign a new contract, so this conversation is conjecture, or in laymans terms, speculative rubbish:)

fair take Ed and ubistonk, but I prefer the good old fashion let the boots talk.

keep fit, hit the gym and get some consistency and show it on the pitch.

its nothing against theo, its just the mentality like sczesny did after winning a few games last year, talking with confidence and bigging himself up, when it mattered they melted. win the league and talk as much as you like.

jack wilshere is another who is forever snapped up doing stupid things, I understand they are young, but if they can't be professional, they do not deserve those insane amounts.

im just peeved of with this whole everything is social media madness. no one needs to know everything, sometimes not knowing is also fun.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i realize that sometimes it can be over the top lakes, and im not a fan of them using social media, but if its done in the right way i believe it can endear the player to the club mate...
