If it's true which i doubt, then martin hasn't made the best choice to enhance his career, shows lack of determination to not test yourself at the highest level

Arsenal are apparently trying to capture recently released Wigan player Rodallega.

Going to Liverpool.
Agree0

He had one decent half season probably around 2 years ago and somehow these rumors have been popping up for like 1.5 years now just because he's cheap and we've been in need for strikers for some time now...
Agree0

Going either aston villa or liverpool

Would be a perfect signing imo

Nathan Dyer of Swansea doesnt see the future being too bright there after Brendan Rodgers leaving. If Chelski etc. bought Walcott i actually wouldnt mind dyer.

We can and we need to be doing better than replacing theo with nathan dyer.
c'mon we are a massive club with a massive rep, we have to aim for the sky not dig around in the dirt

Dyer is 25, not much chance of much improvement. just not good enough for us.

ozyakup in talks with besiktas. Shame, thought he was decent. Though i would rather have yennaris and coquelin.
Believable26

Reports in Turkey suggest that Arsenal will receive 700,000 for Ozyakup. A 25% sell on clause also included in the deal. Good luck to him.
Agree0

I'm 99% sure it's not on a permanent basis, he shone for the reserves last year it would be a huge mistake to sell him now, the only move I can see it being is a loan one.
It really could be the making of this guy, he dictated matches from centre mid last year, and if Besiktas are offering him first team football I'd be expecting him to be battleing for first team football when he returns

Coquelin over ozayakup but not yennaris
Agree0
Disagree0
Ben x, youre wrong.
im 100% sure it is permanent as his contact ends in 2013 so it wouldnt make sense to send a player out on loan with a year left on his contract and if we loaned him out, why the f*** would we loan him to turkey!?
he wants first team football and was out of contract last summer and he wanted to leave but then wenger promised first team opportunities so he signed a 2 year contract. those promises wenger made never came and now hes finally had enough of being behind inferior players like ramsey.
hes defiantly 100% going on a permanent, simple as that. good luck to him.

Am I the only one thinking that maybe Henri Lansbury should be brought into the first team in place of Ramsey, and then loan him [Ramsey] out. I watched Lansbury in a England U21 match in the Winter in which he scored twice and ran the show. He seems a very confident guy and that's what we need, someone who won't have a dip in form if they're left out for a few matches.
I didn't like watching Ramsey last season, it was upsetting to watch, after seeing him bang in goal after goal when he first came onto the scene, and then seeing him being booed by the fans really wasn't nice, he's a young lad who's come back from an injury that would have ended many peoples career. If he could get a decent loan deal to a top half club, Everton or similar I think would do him the world of good.

No. we should get rid. can't really use a U21 game as strong evidence we should keep him when he's in and out of a squad in the championship.

@Ben X. - As fustrating as Ramsey was, remember Lansbury could not even get into a West Ham championship team
Agree0
Disagree0
Lansbury was poor for the hammers, but in a allardyce team which basically plays over the top route 1 football its hard to judge... He's impressed for u21s and in previous seasons where he's gone on loan... It's a difficult one- i'd say let him have a fair crack in pre season and decide from there..

Ramsay does have the fact that his national team manager, the person he trusted most, and gave him the captaincy of wales commiting suicide as a legitimate reason for his dip in form. he will bounce back tho
Agree0
Disagree0
Last season was Ramsey's FIRST full season back after a potential career threatening injury
He is 21 years old
At 21, we expected him to replace Fabregas and Wales expected him to captain
It's absurd, give the BOY a break

Agree0

Spot on, some Gooners treated Ramsey horrificly! He's an out of form young lad
Agree0

Lansbury seems fairly mediocre and he probably shouldn't be bloating the squad.
In Ramsey's case I honestly think he just needs time but a change in scenery, even for only half a season, and regular starts would probably do him a world of good. Loaning him for a bit would be an attractive option if one or two midfielders come in and we don't lose anyone else. Since Rosicky and Diaby will most likely be transitioned out of the club in about another season or so, there will most likely be room again for Ramsey to grow back into the midfield with a little more fitness and confidence.

US Gooner^
I think Ramsey will be a top player when he rediscoveres his form, but he isn't going to do it at the Emirates with the fans on his back game after game.
I'm completely with you when you say we need to give him a break. It's the rest of the fans that arn't. But I can see why they do, last season every game for us was so important, any points droped and we'd have finished 4th, and subsiquently would have lost out on champions league qualification.
I think Ramsey a top kid and he'll become a world class player, at Arsenal. But for the start of next season I think Lansbury should be given a chance and the compotition will do him good, after he realised his place on the team sheet was under threat, his picked up his game against Stoke, and played one of his best match of the season.
Ben X.

AND it was a season when one of his mentors committed suicide.
Gary Speed was one of Ramsey's childhood heroes and worked closely with him in the Wales set-up, trusting him with the captaincy.
I think people underestimate the physcological effect a loss like that can have on a young man.
With regards to Lansbury, I wouldn't be surprised if he's in our Carling Cup side next season, he deserves the chance to prove himself.
Stezza.

No i don't think he was booed by arsenal fans and i genuinely think he will replace fabregas in a year or two, in fact he will be twice the player fab was

Funny I seem to Remember Ramsey aged 17 play against England U21's and running the show!
Agree0

Such a great point. I totally agree. Lansbury is a class act and was a part of getting West Ham back to the big time.
Ramsey - unfortunately for me failed to impress. A loan spell away at the likes of Everton or similar would be absolutely fantastic for him.
BRING IN LANSBURY!

For Gods sake....NO!! He is a lightweight! Just because he is from Brazil, doesn´t make him great.
And, is a new winger really what we need?
I´d much rather see us making a real effort in getting Affelay.
Agree0

If they did sign him he would be a bench warmer and there is much better players then him and why would u want him he was in serie a and he would be fallen when nobody was near him
Agree0

Inter seem to be in a period of transition in which their promising youth players i.e. coutinho and joel obi play a major role. I would be genuinely surprised if they let any of them go permanently.
Agree0
Disagree0
They're reliant on youngsters yet they're sending alvarez out on loan to espanyol. Don't understand their strategy; so while they're confused, we can relieve them of coutinho
