I am hearing we are set to sign malouda. Bad move

Gunnerboy

Believable2 Unbelievable102

I doubt it {Ed002's Note - Malouda is not able to move to Arsenal at this time.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I am hearing bs

Agree1 Disagree0

To sign him Chelsea have to make him a free agent and then we can sign him subject to EPL rules on registering players are squad submission deadline has passed
So doubt it

Is anyone else still hearing Chamakh and/or Arshavin could be leaving before the end of the Turkish and Russian transfer windows, respectively?

-Birmingham Gooner

Believable43 Unbelievable1

Can't see Arsenal getting rid of Chamakh at the moment, we'd be short of strikers.

Agree0 Disagree1

I hope arsavin stays

There in the champs league squad

there are claims that chamakh has malaria

Agree1 Disagree0

Just exactly how many times was our essential striker Chamakh used last season and this? Not used not needed

Agree0 Disagree0

He wasn't used because we had Van Persie firing on all cylinders. This season we do have Podolski and Giroud, but who's to say that these won't get injured at some point?

Been reading the posts and everybody is praising Diaby's return to form, rightly so may i add. But was just curious as to where all the fans have gone who have slated him for the past two years, he got injured his recovery has been a long and frustrating one. Everyone before the window had his name as one of the first to be sold (deadwood???).
Just to make a point, have faith in Wenger, he knows what hes doing, sometimes you may agree with him, other times disagree. He knows his players, their potential, level of expectancy.

Continue with the amazing support we have shown so far this season, this could well be OUR season

Imo diaby criticism was justified. i wasn't one of the people wanting him out but i had my doubts, still have a little. there's no guarantee he can keep his level for a whole season let alone stay fit. let's see how he does but now it's looking good for him.

Don't say "this could be our season"!

That's Jynxed it, and I hold you personally responsible for any trophy we don't win -_-

Rosicky was considered deadwood in January and then what happened. People like to talk.

Woolwich gooner: One swallow does not make a summer. Don't confuse stubborness with good qulity management - where Diarby is concerned
. Seven years and counting...

Agree1 Disagree0

But the lad couldnt help getting injured is every1 gonna blame wilshire for getting injured?

Agree0 Disagree1

Agree with the swallow analogy. To say that after a couple of good performances wenger was right about diaby is naive. Everyone who said he should be sold based their opinion on the countless times diaby has let the team down, be it through injury or lack of form. Diaby looks like the player we all wanted wenger to sign for the last 5 seasons, hopefully he stays fit and in form. But his sudden coming of age does not justify the huge gap that has been unaddressed since vieira left. The same point is true of rosicky and even walcott.

Agree1 Disagree0

I think Diaby has shown on numerous occasions that he has the quality to really make an impact on games. The problem is he has not shown it on a consistent bases. In the past he has drifted in and out of games to much. One must remember he has had allot of injury set backs.

I for one hope he can realize his potential as he has the abilty to drive past players with ease when he is on, and this is something that we miss, especially when teams "park the bus"

Agree1 Disagree1

"don't confuse good quality management with stubbornness// countless times he let the team down..." You guys really astound me, still!

The boy had his ankle smashed to pieces in one of his first seasons with us, and hasn't had a good injury free run since. What did you expect?! Now he has and wow, turns out there was a good reason that Arsene battled Ferguson so hard for his signature. Let's not even start on your views about Wenger....

Ax

Agree0 Disagree1

I do not think Diaby has been slated, it is just that we know he will break down with another injury before too long - i hope he does not, but less than 120 games in 7 years says it all !

Agree1 Disagree0

Maybe some players respond well when negative influences are removed from the dressing room....

If all the malcontents have now moved on, perhaps there will be a new better team spirit!

One swallow does not make a summer!

Agree1 Disagree0

For the guy saying that the Vieira shaped hole in our team was not being addressed I recommend checking out the latest tactical column on . It seems Wenger has been working at finding that defending/attacking box to box midfielder since Diaby's injury. Experimenting with Gilberto, Flamini, Denilson and even Wilshere.

People assume because Diaby is the only player who actually resembles Vieira.

In Wenger I Trust.

Agree0 Disagree1

I think it's normal for people to criticize the players, especially when they don't convince enough. What's the wrong in that. They are all well paid with the fan's hard earned money, and in turn have to bring it back on the pitch..! It's is their job to bounce back and to show that they are good enough for the club. They should see it as challenges and motivation, not the other way around,..like you..!

GunnerJoker

Agree1 Disagree0

All we require from him is consistent performances. He did resemble Patrick on Saturday to my suprise as well.

Lets give the Guys all the support we can, you never know in Football.

PretoriaGooner

Agree0 Disagree1

While I don't doubt Diaby has ability, if he's only actually for a fraction of the games he is of little use. THats the thing most of us complained about!

Agree1 Disagree0

Granted he played like viera on heat but it was ONE game! Let's not wet ourselves yet, who knows he may return to his usual self next game... That is if he comes back from the international break in 1 piece! Also it was ONLY Liverpool, they're so bad it's a joke!

not everyone hits the ground running, and I just pray for our fans to give giroud time...

its happened with some of our greatest players, henry, pires berkamp etc..

As for gibbs shouting at Giroud for missing that chance, anyone remember henry shouting at ade in a game not long after when he just signed, and love him or hate him he did have a great season for us before he went cash hungry.

Believable72 Unbelievable2

He had a big hand in Podolski's goal with his off the ball work. Spread the 2 centre backs apart and allowed a load of room for the pass. He's clearly a class player, every fan I've spoken to agrees, its just the media posing these half-questions to get something of a story to write about... Come Jan he will be banging em in
AG

Agree0 Disagree1

Giroud is quality, he just needs a goal.

Agree1 Disagree1

Gibbs shouted at him because he should have given the ball to him instead of shoting himself.

Agree1 Disagree1

Giroud will become a legend....all arsenal legends score there 1st goal against the saints...!

Agree0 Disagree1

His movement is FANTASTIC, i keep watching highlights of the games so far, all of his chances have been created by his great movement

Would have to say that after 7 years without a trophy, fans of Arsenal Football Club are famed for their patience......

Agree1 Disagree0

The proper supporters will support him..the sunshine supporters wont

Agree1 Disagree1

Who does Gibbs think he is. You don't behave like that to a team mate in public. Woolich Gooner.

I am getting a bit fed up with the stick giroud is getting for not scoring in 3 games. We are used to arsenal revolving around 1 player (that Dutch guy can't remember his name) now Wenger love him or loath him has built a team and I for one love the look of it for once we having wingers who track back a midfield who all have there duties and stick to them like **** to a blanket. Girouds movement and link up play is quality he wins the ball and offers us a route out of defence if we need to get out. He will score a hatful of goals and will become a important cog in our teams push for silverware so let's get behind him and watch the goals fly. Proud to be a gooner doing things the right way

Bergkamp wonderland

Believable31 Unbelievable3

I've got no doubt he's going to score a whole lot of goals with that midfield supporting him.

Agree1 Disagree1

I like the look of giroud, he just needs time and a goal, but i think as soon as he gets it he will be awsome, this arsenal team are going to shock alot of people now that the god bould is assistant manager.

Agree0 Disagree1

Totally agree with post. I think girouds link up play movement and tracking back has been very good. As post also stated not all strikers hit the ground running but the worry is is he another chamakh? I don't think he will as what I've seen of him in his 2 and a bit games is a hell of alot more as the fore mentioned chamakh! Up the arse in wenger we trust

Agree1 Disagree0

ROBIN VAN PERSIE is that the dutch guy?

Agree0 Disagree0

For sure ,I totally agree with you 100% ,i looked at the shape of the team the other day and it was the best i have seen it for a few seasons , the back four are unbelieveable and everybody is actually playing for each other ,the best thing Wenger did was get rid of the players that held AFC back , i believe the only way is up ,

Agree0 Disagree1

I think he meant bergkamp or overmars, i dont remember any others

Agree1 Disagree0

Girouds movement has been quality just needs a goal to set him off

Agree0 Disagree1

Agree with a lot of what you say there pal - does anyone remember a boke called Bergkamp? I can remember all the press and media having a go because he didn't score for about 11 games..... they questioned his purchase and his ability.....plonkers!!!

Some players need a little time to get used to the pace of play and other players positioning. I think Giroud will get better and better

Agree0 Disagree1

Most strikers who hit the ground running immediately usually get found out through the season or the next. Chamack Hernandez of utd ba of Newcastle are just a few! Players that start slow usually bed in better and do well! Give the guy a chance it's 3 games in that's all! If he ain't done anything in half the season then start worrying he's a flop. But three games is a joke! He knows where the goal is from his great season with Montpellier. His movement has really impressed me. It's like wenger once said " it's if you're not getting chances to score that you should be worrying"!!

Agree0 Disagree1

3 games without a goal! Sell him!

Agree1 Disagree0

Totally agree, I remember when Henry first came to the club, couldn't hit a cow's arse with a paddle. Then he scored that wonder goal against Man Utd and never looked back. Giroud will come good, just needs to relax.

Agree0 Disagree1

He was being ironic and talking about Rip van Pussy.
