Tbh next week is close- its all relative!
As long as he and similar level players are signed before the end of the transfer window, that's the most important thing to me and I think arsenal football club.
days, hours minutes belong to impatient fans :)

The Miami-Madrid flight is a long flight and then a connecting flight to London when already badly jetlagged. I had a 5 hour flight from Perth to Melbourne then a 2 hour flight back to Brisbane. I was stuffed then (didn't help I was not 100%, but still). Hig's would've been in excess of that. I know I couldn't do a medical immediately after the connecting flight. I woulda waited at least a day. I understand what hig's going through

Yeah to be honest big signings like this take time, we are still negotiating a fee with Madrid this will take long, this they are starting to realise that Higuain is a top top player, and they want as much as they can, I don't blame them, even though he has recently been a sub.
I think this deal will happen, but I don't think it will be in the next few days, but be patient because a signing like this will be worth the wait.

OK so some people are now saying the deal isn't happening, whereas others are saying Higuain's medical was today, or that last night we smashed our record, or they're even talking about the deal in the past tense as though Higuain has signed.
But I'm not even writing this post about that. I've just read some story saying we've offered £17m+Ramsey for Fellaini.
Now THAT is a rumour I don't know what to make of!

Wenger has always had a soft spot for Ramsey. That's why he always plays him (even when he's out of form). So I don't think he'd get rid of him like that
Agree2
Disagree2
Great rumour but not true methinks. Ramsey must be at least 10m, which would bust right through the minimum release clause, and on top of that we can't afford to give up a British squad player. strangely enough though, whilst I think Rambo is much maligned, I'd take that!

I'd be disappointed to see Ramsey go as part of that deal, and I'm ready for the abuse for liking Ramsey lol

C'mon on MG, it's clearly nonsense, surely you would rather keep Ramsey and the money over Fellaini.

Ramsey signed a five year deal a few months ago. Why would they offer him a long term contract only to part ex him for the Afro warrior?
Rumour it maybe. Truthful it is not.

I would like this to be the case, but it seems unlikely.

Why would anyone like to lose ramsey? He's very talented and improving greatly. Worth a lot more than a bit part in an exchange
Agree5

Remember AW spoke of his excitement about the core of British players he presently has? Then this Fellaini, if he is that good, wouldn't Moyes have taken him along? Moyes is probably having a good laugh about this interest of ours!

Ramsey on a short or season long loan I hope, No way they would sell a worker like Ramsey.

Ramsey really needs to be moved on, gives the ball away too much for a mid.
Agree1
Disagree2
If you haven't watched Ramsey recently I suggest you do so
he was as important to our streak to make 4th as Kos/Mert. He and Arteta are a very good partnership. Runs all day, tackles well, and actually did NOT give the ball away when paired with Mikel.
Agree1
Disagree0
That Fellaini swap deal with Ramsey is rubbish, yes Arsenal interested and will go back for him shortly once Higuain and Cesc deals are done.
Agree1
Disagree0
Not going to happen Ramsey was part of the british contingent that signed improved long term deals last season, although I do believe this is the season where Ramsey has to show he is a class first team player
Agree1
Disagree0
I'd hate this to be true because he really developed last season and towards the end he became a key part of the team, I really do not know what to make of all these rumours regarding fellaini because if people were saying that we were going to trigger his buy out clause surely we'd just do it and not wait for another club to swoop in, and as we all know as arsenal fans a deal is never done until it is done with arsenal
Agree1
Disagree0
The reason Moyes has not tried to sign Fellaini is his lack of pace. He wouldn't fit into Uniteds style of play. However he would slot into Arsenals style easily. He's technically gifted and would be a great signing for Arsenal.
Agree0

Not going to happen. Offering £17 million plus Clumsey would effectively be offering £17 million plus a traffic cone. No wait, the traffic cone has a better first touch. As someone above pointed out, he's one of those players that AW is stubbornly and bizarrely loyal to, even when they've proved they're not good enough. Oh and Everton wouldn't want him either.
Agree0

Everton wouldn't want him? did you only watch the first, what 10 games max? he played?
his form and ability almost fully blossomed in the last half of the season.

Higuain deal is now done. Despite what Moyes says, two players historically linked to him, Rooney and Fellaini will make up a trio of EPL challenging summer signings. Everyone associated with Arsenal and those of us in the media know how this is being played out. The complexities of a Rooney transfer are legion, but it is currently being negotiated. Rooney wants out and nobody will pay him what he has been earning hitherto so he sees Arsenal as best suited to his game. Wages are an issue but the Arsenal board are determined to up the ante to bring him in.
Fellaini is easier. Everton know that they can't keep him, but are holding out on the fee. Nevertheless he will be Emirates bound by the end of the window.
By the way, the Suarez story. complete nonsense!

Everton can't really hold out for a bigger fee.

'those of us in the media'.
you're confusing 'attention-seeking fantasist' with 'media'
1. You don't know the Higuain deal is done.
2. Rooney is, and will remain a MUFC player.
3. Most of us know already that the deal for Fellaini will go through.
4. The Suarez story was explained by someone here yesterday, but you know that because you read the post.
So. meet you back here at the close of the transfer period and I'll tell you what a mug you are.

I would like to believe you fella but I just can't see this with arsenal. It's just not their way of doing things. To actually bring in more than one class player in a summer is unheard of, let alone 3. How ever if you are right then I will find were you live and come and kiss your feet dude haha!

Good call. Do think he is quite under rated. If we want to win something I do believe him and Kos will play a big part!

Only problem with Mert is his lack of pace and tactical awareness, otherwise he would be a world class defender

I know. its on tv now. yesterday all positive, today wide of the mark, as sky stated, player is not close to transfer but Arsenal still interested.
im not going to hold my breath. this is going to be a saga and we may lose out to another team in the end.
i didn't want to break the bad news in the morning, and I honestly wished it was not true.
enjoy your weekend guys.

GH will sign this deal is in place since juve pulled out never mind his father/brother who seem to have only one mouth between them. If he wasn't arsenals he would be linked to a lot more clubs RM sanctioned the move as soon as CA was appointed his father/brother axis are the hold up trying to get one of the sugur daddy clubs to step in
