Suarez all over tv. Accuses them of breach of contract & wants liverpool to honour there agreement! Also willing to take case to premier league! Come on wenger suarez has done his part now time to return the favour!

Believable63 Unbelievable11

Wenger has done his part too so what are you talking about? He has bid the clause amount

Paul

{Ed022's Note - Even with a transfer request, I would be very surprised if Arsenal bid again. Suarez will sign for £40m + £1 or not at all...}

Agree2 Disagree0

What do Wenger needs to do more? he bid over the buy-out clause which is enough to get him out. It's liverpool who is trying to hold him as long as possible for some reason when they know they have no chance of keeping him.

In Ghana, our major football newspaper claims Arsenal have serious interest in Andre Ayew. I don't think he would be a welcome addition though. We need Suarez and he is coming by the end of the week. {Ed027's Note - we had interest in him in the past

Speaking of the Uruguayan, Liverpool's John Henry has been speaking at a supporters' club meeting in Oslo tonight, reiterating that Suarez is not for sale.

He's said: "I don't know why people ask us if we are selling the club or the best players because we are not. We like to buy stuff, not to sell. We are not selling our best player. "

Is the rumours true we are going after benzema

Believable7 Unbelievable43

Lol benzema. who makes up these articles. unfortunately no.

Agree0 Disagree0

They have sold higuain so I can't see them selling benzema too

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe Benzema is plan B, if Suarez ends up at Madrid? It's the World Cup next year, everyone will want guaranteed first team football and we could offer that to Benzema. Just a thought anyway

this rumour hit twitter lastnight, be good if its true though

Agree1 Disagree0

Robbie that's a good try but there's not a day goes by without someone saying something similar. someone is going to be right but I don't think it's you.

Agree1 Disagree0

Robbie explain how you know this to be true as we are all getting fed up with all these stupid deal done posts that turn out to be total crap.

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you at least going to try and valodate this with a source?

Agree1 Disagree0

Lets hope so because this is getting drawn out now, I would like a end to it no way or another

Agree1 Disagree0

You this because you slept with Brendan Rogers?

Agree0 Disagree0

For those cynics, I can reassure you the wheels are in motion. Of course I can't give the source, as its sensitive and can't be divulged. Trust me, he is on his way, all being well.

Agree1 Disagree0

Is your source the sun newspaper? If so he should be having his medical just after hig's lol.
these rumours an secret sources are getting worse.

Agree0 Disagree0

Does Robbie Gunner work for the telegraph or guardian then?

Agree0 Disagree0

Same old same old but I hope you are right

Agree0 Disagree0

I hold slum nothing's for this but if your right would explain why he was left out from Norwich friendly due to injury

Agree0 Disagree0

I can find some truth in your news Robbie as just now the news broke out about Suarez has gone public with his desire to leave for Arsenal. Thanks for news in advance!

Agree0 Disagree0

He is coming, it goes like this: the £40,000001 offer is enough anyway it says in the contract if they didn't make it last year which they didn't he can leave for a cl club ie us, but Liverpool are playing like a bunch of spoilt children, breaking the contract and there word to saurez, saurez has already stated this, they just can't handle that the bid has been put forward buy arsenal and now he is worth a lot more from last years performance but that's there fault, so there now trying to say anything to get there way buy saying he worth £50m now as much as bale £100 even got the cheek to disrespect are club saying were not cl team cause we ain't qualified anything to keep him, that's why wenger has said he will sit back and wait, he knows we have them on the back ropes, we been there many times it's are turn so IMO year he coming? Sorry for long post

Agree0 Disagree0

I have been very cautious with my optimism regarding the Suarez deal, however this post seems very credible now that the player has declared his intention to leave and join us. this is by no means a guarantee it will happen but with the whole debacle over the $40,000, 001 bid, it looks as if Liverpool are playing games and are trying to drag this out to find a replacement. trying to control my excitement as I don't want to be let down again

Agree1 Disagree0

not sure how these clauses work. Ed02 would know, but he doesn't like this page.

well we will have to wait till the transfer window to end to find out, if it was a buy out clause or a release clause, how these clauses work. if the club has to accept it and notify the league or it automatically gets accepted? god and Ed02 know, but its unlikely we will hear from either of them

{Ed022's Note - As I see it there is a discrepency of the £40m plus clause in Suarez's contract. His agent feels if a club bid over £40m and are in the champions league (which Arsenal technically are) and officially will be soon, then Liverpool have to accept. Liverpool are playing hardball and claiming that the clause only means they have to inform the player. In an ideal world Liverpool will sell to Real Madrid. A bit like Arsenal wanting to sell RVP to Juventus (for less money). Instead Arsenal had to sell to a rival and basically handed United the league. Liverpool are scared that the gap between the top four and them would increase should they sell to Arsenal...}

Heard we are lining up a bid for Mascherano. Not too sure myself to be honest, but would be a welcome addition.

Believable12 Unbelievable51

Would love to see him sign, but it simply won't happen. Fellaini would be great and/or Lucas

Agree1 Disagree1

Would absolutely love to see him in team, COYG

Agree0 Disagree0

The Barc one? Please no. I hate him with a passion.

Agree0 Disagree1

I hate him. but messi makes me bare with barca. all 11. even thou I like only 3players. we all know the other one as our own and iniesta

Agree0 Disagree0

I think he would be quite a useful addition, being able to play CB or DM, and has a decent pass on him. Wouldn't be my first choice though.

IBTimes reported yesterday that Wenger might be interested in Ciprian Marica, 27 year old striker from Rumania. He is on a relative low salary (32k per week) and was released by Schalke so he would be on a free contract.

This seems to be a Wenger's Trademark signing.

Hope we won't cease to pursue Suarez.

Believable17 Unbelievable37

Apparently there is a difference of 20k/week between what Cesar wants and what we're offering. Why don't we give him what he wants and forget about this tragedy! Schalke don't even want him FFS!

Agree2 Disagree1

Would smack of desperation. He was so good his team let him leave!

Agree0 Disagree0

Real display of intent, another sicknote who can keep Diaby company.

Suarez to sign for real madrid. Arsenal to attempt to sign Ba, not Torres. Torres is on far too much money at Chelsea. I'd take Ba, as back up, but surely our priority should be a keeper, then a defender, then a tough midfielder. It's obvious. We were out of the running last season by gameweek 4. I fear the same if we continue to ignore the glaring deficiencies in the team. If we don't sign a keeper, Wenger must take the blame. Reina and Cesar have been available and at no huge cost.

Believable19 Unbelievable47

We conceded only one goal in our first 4 games last season. Your argument is invalid

Agree3 Disagree1

06 Aug 2013 15:23:09
What a nugget
The deficiencies lie in the centre halves; because we only have 2 to call on at the moment
And centre forward; because giroud is the only one that is a true centre forward
We need to add one player to each of these and then add a rband cm {Ed027's Note - register please

Agree2 Disagree0

06 Aug 2013 15:36:14
Don't need a tough midfielder no top teams have one anymore. {Ed027's Note - register please

Agree0 Disagree1

My argument isn't invalid. My point was we were out of the running so early last year, and unless we address our biggest problems now, we'll be in the same situ this season. Last year we were defensively tight for a few weeks, then it all went wrong. Being unable to score in the first few weeks cost us last season. Just because I didn't point that out, doesn't mean my point isn't a good one. Who honestly thinks without a keeper, defender, and tough midfielder we can compete beyond the fist few weeks of the season? {Ed027's Note - register please

Agree1 Disagree0

Reina is on loan for the season and then going to Barca' - Cesar will most probably end up at Napoli who are paying stupid money for everything - both are on huge salaries at their respective clubs - neither are worth the inflated salaries that they are on.
I don't think anyone has missed a trick here apart from yourself.

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't contend that we should make additions to the defense.
But as for "glaring deficiencies". we had the second best defense in the league last year.

And for the latter half of the season (our most successful half) we had only 2 to call on, as TV5 was injured and Djourou was on loan.

How do you like them Nuggets?

Agree0 Disagree0

My thoughts are,
A more intelligent CB, The big man gets found out for pace and sits deep.
A Defensive Midfielder, e. g. Gilberto, Song
A classic CF with more bite to him than Giroud

Agree0 Disagree0

Add a RB? We have Sagna and Jenks, surely along with LB and attacking mid this is one area we don't need to strengthen?

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Aug 2013 17:54:01
We absolutely DO need a right back. Anybody with half a clue can see that Sagna is completely and utterly finished beyond all recognition.

Agree0 Disagree2

We need a striker of quality!
don't win games without scoring goals
northern gooner

Agree0 Disagree0

Sanogo is similar to Ba so I can't so us getting Ba

Agree0 Disagree0

Yep, anyone with half a clue can see that Sagna is finished, and I would suggest that you indeed only have half a clue.

Arsenal have made an offer for out of favour Manchester united winger Nani who is believed to be worth 8 million

Believable21 Unbelievable40

No they haven't.

Agree1 Disagree0

Bloody well hope not.

Agree0 Disagree0

When you say "worth £8 million" I assume you are joking! Inconsistent, not even a poor man's Ronaldo. There are better options in the club such as Ox and Gnabry.

Agree0 Disagree1

I have heard from a reliable source that Nani is crap and not worth 8 million :)

Agree0 Disagree0

Could be a good signing for that money

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe not :L

Freiburg likely to demand 15 million for promising CB Mathias Ginter after they rubbished reports of an offer of 7 million from Arsenal

Believable30 Unbelievable14

No chance, 15M? Did you see him in the under 21's this summer? 8-9M tops.

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think that if Arsenal is linked with a Feyenoord defender it is Janmaat, I expect Wenger if he wants a Feyenoord player to get Bruno Martens Indi.

Agree0 Disagree0

DISCLAIMER - I am far from in the know!

I read earlier a caption linking us to Nani of Manchester United at a snip of ONLY £8 million; underrated player, under used and capable (comparable to Theo Walcott) on his day of some sublime football! I believe he'd add great depth to midfield and be a replace to Gervinho. He has to be better than Gervinho. Surely!

Just thought I would ask everyone's opinion and of course the enlightenment of the ED's.

Regards, {Ed027's Note - was of interest a few weeks ago, seems like nothing came of it

Believable36 Unbelievable15

Thank you for the fast reply.

In my opinion such a shame but I will continue to keep the "Nani" candle burning!

Agree0 Disagree1

No thanks

For 8m I think he would be a valuable addition to the squad. Not exactly the world class signings we were hoping for but still useful.

Lets just hope the board get their collective fingers out sooner rather than later as what little hair I have left is rapidly being pulled out!

Agree0 Disagree1

Nani is a fine player, whom I wish we would sign.
We need:
Begovic
Williams
Fellaini
Nani
Suarez

Will we get them? Possibly Williams & Suarez.

nani would be a very important player for arsenal if he signs. there is something not right with poldolski if u ask me even though he is a great finisher. seems to lack accleration and genuine pace. nani has that and goals in abundance he easily get 10-15

Agree0 Disagree0

Would prefer not to buy are rivals cast ofs

Would be a great if we could get him know the premier league very will

Agree0 Disagree0

I think I speak for the majority of Arsenal fans when I say that we do not want Nani at the emirates.

Agree0 Disagree1

I was banging on about Nani on here, yes he was inconsistent at Man U but he could be such an incredible player. He'd cost less than Gerv and imo would be one of the best signings we could actually get, and at about half the price too. I really hope we sign him.

Agree0 Disagree0

At the same stage in his career as cristiano was e. g. Nano has better stats, passes, shots, goals etc. {Ed027's Note - register please

Agree0 Disagree0

To the post who quipped Manchester United cast off. We sold RVP to Manchester United, obviously not in the same light however you didn't hear their fans screaming of discontent.

To the poster who posted, I speak for most Arsenal fans we do not want Nani. No you are the minority who wishes to continue to purchase season tickets etc and excited about the prospect of a free signing, Marica.

He would be an absolute key signing! I would be very happy to watch Nani play on our wing. Podolski would add depth to our strike force as I do not think he's that effective on the wing.

Does anyone see Nani as a replacement for Walcot, if he was part-ex for Suarez?
