Eds, i keep hearing you say there is interest in Podolski so i have question
Do you expect him to sign in January?
I have also noticed how up until a few days ago Eds were saying Podolski wouldn't join Arsenal because he wouldn't be sure of a starting position and others were more likely so i am kind of confused
89'gooner {Ed002's Note - Nobody said he would not join Arsenal because he would not be assured of a starting position, just that I don't see any chance of Podolski going to any club where he cannot be sure of a starting place - as it could well put his international career at risk. Lazio, Spurs and Arsenal have shown an interest but he could decide to move to Turkey with Galatasary or possibly Russia with interest from several clubs including Anzhi and Zenit. If he does move to England, Arsenal is certainly the most likely destination. Seems pretty clear to me.}

I say we bring in Gourcuff, although he's been poor of late, the one person if anyone to get him back to his best will be Wenger. 12 million is supposidly the asking price he was bought for 19 million a year or 2 ago, surely a bargain?! Plus i see reports today were trying to get him on loan, which would be even better see if Wenger can get him back to the player he was then if successful go for the purchase? Ed what's the chances of us actually obtaining Gourcuff on loan or through purchasing him? {Ed002's Note - I guess it is possible to take the player on loan, but to buy him I doubt in January. He has been really struglling since his injury and would in my view be a high risk and likely expensive option.}

Surley it would be better to buy him now as he is a bargain until waiting to buy him after a loan, most likely wenger will get him back to his best and he will be back up to about 15 mill+ GET HIM IN NOW !!!!

Gourcouff is finished and adds nothing more than beny/arteta/rambo does now - i'll be disapointed if we sign him, but wouldnt be suprised knowing AW.
