RVP TO CITY OR UNTIED IN THE SUMMER FROM ARSENAL OR TO LIVERPOOL

Believable4 Unbelievable33

Looool! What drugs are you on!?

Agree0 Disagree0

Not trying to start anything, but why do the ED's let through clear drivel like this?

Pakistan AFC

Agree0 Disagree0

Or to Liverpool lol

Agree0 Disagree0

I heard this too, apparently Javier Perez confirmed it last night.

The transfer fee is apparently King Kenny's clapped out old Vauxhall Corsa & a packet of Walkers cheese and onion crisps.

His wages demands are, a little windmill, a lifetime supply of clogs, all the waffles and cheese he can dream of, a peddle bike and a shed load of cannabis. The scouse economy will go up two fold, apparently....

Don't shoot the messenger

Ben X

Agree0 Disagree0

Even the poster isn't to sure about the lies he's telling :L

Lol @ Ben X.

Ben

This new club "untied" will Surely be The most likely....

Agree0 Disagree0

Its true!

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said Ben! i have no idea why spurs fans are so eager about RVP? surely they have nothing to speak about their own dam club..

Agree0 Disagree0

The ramblings of a mad man.

In Arsene I Trust.

Agree0 Disagree0

Best reply of the season goes to....... ben x!! That just made my day. Still laughing...

Agree0 Disagree0

Rubbish

Agree0 Disagree0

Why don't you just mention every other club in europe just to cover all bases. lol

Eds, do you know if there has been any interest expressed in Loic Remy recently? He's not scored many and I believe Marseille are struggling, financially aswell as in the league could we stick a cheeky bid in? I think he would be a brill 2nd striker/winger. Just the kind of signing we need, I'd much prefer him to Giroud.

From a very happy Ben X.

Jan Vertonghen named Dutch Footballer of the Year Jordy Clasie in second place & Christian Eriksen coming third.

Just out of curiosity why is everyone on Ramseys back. I know he is in a poor run of form but you have to trust in Arsenes decisions and give Ramsey a chance to get back to how he once was, also remember he is still young so his form will fluctuate. I seriously believe he has great potential and we just need to carry on with him and support him in his current time of need as how can you expect him to recover if your all on his back.

Believable17 Unbelievable10

I've got nothing against Ramsey and would want to see him succeed at Arsenal, but he's clearly on the whole not playing well. Wenger has admitted this what I don't understand is why his picking him. Put him in the reserves until he gets his levels back.
But if he ever logs onto this website with some posts he would most likely want to quit football.

Agree0 Disagree0

I wish Ramsey would have a good run of games to shut some people up on this website, call themselves supporters of team sport, hardly show there team players.
Get behind the team!

Agree0 Disagree0

I would normally agree but we can't afford to carry an out of form player when we have better on the bench.
Arsenal with Ramsey look very different to Arsenal without Ramsey.
I feel he seems to be one of the hanbrakes that we seem to play too many times. Yes, we've played bad without him but recently he's been the one that most people are shouting at the TV about and most peoples first choice to substitute, I used to say what you are saying but he's played one too many bad games and yesterday he didn't look like he wanted to put the effort in.... is he the new Denilson, good in certain games... but breaksdown our own counter attacks making everyone have to flood back when he loses the ball or simply pull up whilst Ramsey wants to play the ball to feet and then back again.
We can win our last game with or without him on, but without I'm sure we won't sit back and slow the game down if we go one up.But to the contrary, on the plus side for him, if he'd been on after our 3rd goal yesterday he might have been the player to slow the play and avoid any risky passes, hence we wouldn't have conceeded the 3rd!
Use him as a sub... he did well coming on earlier in the season.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm actually on Wenger's back. Just don't play him anymore. Give him an early vacation and start Coquelin next week. Wenger's persistence with Ramsey is starting to really frustrate me.

ibster

Agree0 Disagree0

He consistently performs poorly, and cannot get a shot on target or finish to save his life. He has talent, somewhere we just arent seeing it. Maybe he needs reminding that his team place isnt for granted? Send Ramsey out on loan give him experience and make him work for his place.

NottsGooner

Agree0 Disagree0

Remember der was a time wen xaxi used to play bad for barca and utd wanted him bt he wanted to stay an improve and workd his socks off....ramsy cud get better n better coz hes yung, he does have a lot of chances let him mature frst...send him on loan to villa

Agree0 Disagree0

I have been saying this all season, when Ramsey plays we hardly win, too SLOW, plays backwards, always turning into opposition players and loosing ball, can't shoot, never tackles, since his injury not the same, yes he is only 19 BUT at the moment not good enough for CM and is always out of position, cant track back as to slow, send him on loan, just not good enough at moment...

With everyone going on about the need for cdm, (which i fully agree with) i dont understand why we are looking past Nigel De Jong of man city, he is hardly used at city, tenacious in the tackle, goes about his business quietly, and to be honest i think would be a damn sight cheaper than other options posted on here, 10 mill? proven international, hard as nails, imo just what we need

N. Wales Gunner

Believable16 Unbelievable6

Man city prob would not sale to us and he would want too hight wages also a dirty player I think we can do better

Agree0 Disagree0

Wages....
Scottish goon

Agree0 Disagree0

Him and RvP really don't get on. Plus his wages will be huge.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think he's out of contract soon and he's only on 50k that's why he's refusing to renew as they won't him more but I think he'd be great no fancy stuff just solid
Dan

Agree0 Disagree0

I owuld agree he is hard as nails, a tough tackler, experienced etc...but I would look at his discipline that has not improved. Do we need a Cattermole, in for 5 out for 3...he has no control over his aggression...

we used our 2nd get out of jail card, we cant afford to slip up against the baggies next week. lady luck or whatever you want to call it we are still 3rd by the skin of our teeth.
next week we will seperate the men from the boys, no time for show boating just a pure professional performance and 3pts, just dont let down the fans who have stuck by you when everyone was calling for your heads go out their and perform for the honour of the club badge.
anything less just hand in your resignations and rip up your contracts and let players that want to win play for the team.

No disrespect to WBA,but if we think we deserve a place in the CL,then beating teams like WBA should not be a problem. If spuds and newcastle had got results today,we would be just about out of it.So if we do get a CL place,we must have a good clearout, and bring at least 3 class players in.
Can anybody tell me,If we do get third and chelsea win the CL final, will there still be a CL spot for fourth place?
Braintreegooner

Believable9 Unbelievable4

We would have to qualify if i am not mistaken. correct me if i am wrong

Stefan

Agree0 Disagree0

If that happens there will be no fourth spot available

Agree0 Disagree0

No, if Chelsea win the 2012 Champions League then they automatically get into the 2012/2013 competition and the 4th place team in the EPL will participate in the Europa League instead.

ShayGooner

Agree0 Disagree0

If we finish in 3rd and Chelski win CL final - then Wenger was pretty sure that we would still automatically qualify (and not have to play-off). In this situation 4th would play in Europa League.

We played well with 4-4-2 formation on Saturday, create a lot of chances, just can't get it, i wonder why RVP can score
superb goal but cannot convert easy chance..

At the moment Ramsey is not good enough to start for our game, cos he is
lack of creative seen worse than Denilson...
We should send him out for loan when
Jack is back...

Critical match next week, thanks for s**tty and Villa... play 4-4-2 like last 30min of Norwich game.. i believe that we will get an easy win...

Good luck gooner...

4 Season Gooner

Believable9 Unbelievable4

I really don't think his the sort of player that would want to be loaned. I think if it got to that stage he would hand a transfer request in, it is hard with what to do with him.
But Wenger is very loyal to his players and gives them plenty of opportunities to establish themselves (which he should)

Agree0 Disagree0

With a 442 formation, and our 2 central midfielders, we would leak 10 goals a game.

Hey hope your all enjoying your weekend, just wanted to share some info i'd been told and see what you all thought. I went to an international school and have a friend from Moscow, he isn't a journalist or involved in football in anyway but is an avid CSKA supporter he constantly is telling me arsenal should sign Honda, if he does leave Moscow. This season he has played pretty much every position you could imagine even wingback and from what he was saying he has played everyone very well, his work rate is meant to be superb and he gives everything for the team. From what he was telling me, he wouldn't cost much, 10 mill max and that he seems to want to move to a more competitive league I know he wanted to move to Lazio in jan but it didn't happen. This seems to make perfect sense to me we have no chance of getting Eriksen, Hazard or Goetze, so why not try and go for him he can score goals, take free kicks, play a pass, has skills and the fact that he could play so many positions would mean he would be great value for money. I think and ed suggested him before and I did to after the world cup but after hearing so much about him he sounds great. And quickly Arshavin is meant to be playing well in Russia may be worth holding on to him and playing him through the centre his real position not on the wing he is a real threat t there and the fact he has got playing time and his confidence back, it seems worth a go. If we sign Podolski, Vertonghen and Honda and a defensive coach over the summer I think we have the makings of a really good squad. What do you all think anyone else seen Honda in action to know what he is like?

Believable9 Unbelievable6

He'd be good, but there's been no strong reports linking us to him. Wenger seemed to be a fan during the last World Cup, but he was doing commentary for Japanese TV at that time and may have just been sweetening things for his audience.

Agree0 Disagree0

I've seen honda, and he's absolutely wonderful! been a fan for years now. i'd take him in an instant to arsenal.

iceman

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed can we have a player profile on keisuke Honda? {Ed007's Note - I will leave a note for the Ed that does them but if you post a request yourself, he might see that quicker.

www.player-profiles.co.uk/

Agree0 Disagree0

I would love to see Honda at the club.

He's also type of player we look for.
But the annoying thing is that we could pay the transfer fee plus wages but i just don't see wenger going for him.

Agree0 Disagree0

I stopped watching him 2 years ago when I told myself that Arsenal were never going to buy him. If he is playing well at the moment, thats nice to hear - because he definitely had plenty of talent when I last saw him. 10 million though? Bit much for arsene isnt it...Maybe go in with a 4 million bid, have it rejected, and then say 'ohwell we tried'...

Great couple of results today for us.

First thing we need is to play Coquelin instead of Rambo. Then play Jenks at right back and we have a team. COYG!

GoonerDan

Believable22 Unbelievable4

Jenks ?
Are you MAD ?????????

Agree0 Disagree0

Who else are you going to play? Djourou? Rambo should have been sent off v Norwich, got booked and then was unable to tackle back for the rest of the game. He is a liability.

GoonerDan

Agree0 Disagree0

Ha even I would rather djourou over jenks. He is AWFUL

Agree0 Disagree0

Jenks was awful at the start of the season but has improved a lot. Djourou was terrible at RB earlier in the season, we went through our shocking spell in January and February including the Swansea debacle with him playing at RB. Id take Jenks any day over him.

GoonerDan

Agree0 Disagree0

What? What games has he been awful in LOL?

Gilo

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree drop Rambo but not Jenks at right back.

Gk: Shezza
Rb: Koscielny
Cb: Song
Cb: Vermaelen
Lb: Gibbs
Dm: Coquelin
Cm: Chamberlain
Am: Rosicky
Rw: Walcott
Lw: Benayoun
St: Van Persie

Agree0 Disagree0

Jenkinson awful. What a load of rubbish. I remember him playing out of his skin away in Italy in august in the CL qualifier. That was the most important game of his career and a mighty step up in class for him and he delivered. After extra time and all that effort he needed resting. Instead he was played at old Trafford with no protection in front of him at all. He had clearly not received from Italy. He has balls and gets stuck in and deserves to be the backup right back.

Agree0 Disagree0

Play Coquelin at right back, drop Rambo and play Chamberlain with Song and Rosicky through the middle

I think we have great chance at WBA next Sunday they play football the right way rather go there than somewhere like Stoke, Wigan etc looking for a win

Believable12 Unbelievable1

Qpr play decent football, so do norwich. Its hodgsons last match aswell, it will be tougher than the norwich game. Lets hope ramsey and song and company dont bottle it

West Brom Last match for Hodgson to say goodby to him, play like demons Gunners come home all shot up and pointless.

Love all the negativity after yesterdays poor performance. We got lucky today. mancs and villa have given us a lifeline so i pray we don't mess it up!
Would love us2 sign m villa a centre half and still think we have a chance at m goetze.
Its not been the best season but if we can see it out with champ league football then its not all doom and gloom. Ever1 knows we have 2 spend and i think we will. Lets look forward and stop all this negative anti wenger stuff. Real fans would get of his back and look at what he has done for this club.
Goonerdai

Believable14 Unbelievable7

What hs he done for the club in the last seven years, i cannot remember, please help me out. In every other business if a manager does well he gets a payrise, if his business does poorly jhe will get the sack, or be moved on. Wenger does nothing for seven years and gets a well done and a pay rise, God help us come the summer.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 May 2012 16:28:41
Is Jenkinson fit at the moment? If so, what r peoples thoughts on playing him at right back and using Song and Coq in the middle and rosicky CAM. Then Yossi and Ox on the wings.

Imo Coq would cause wba some problems in the middle

If ramsey is given a starting spot again i give up.

Marty

Believable20 Unbelievable4

I think after Gervinho's performance yesterday he deserves a start. I'd start him on the left, Benayoun on the right and Rosicky in the middle with Song and Coquelin sat further back and Haircut at left back.

When Benayoun starts to tire I'd bring Chambo on & now comes the controversial part, when Rosicky tires I'd bring Ramsay on, and heres why. When Rosicky gets tired, his touch is sloppy and he is'nt as outgoing as he is when fully fit, he's also at that vital part of the pitch that not necessarily plays the vital pass, but plays the penultimate pass, and when that becomes sloppy out attack has no meaning.

I know some people on here think Ramsey has had his chance, but I honsetly beilve he will come good. He just needs to string a few performances together and get his confidance back up.

Ben X.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ramsey will be class.. he looked back to being sharpe against norwich although he did make some schoolboy errors. if we can sneak through the end of the season in 3rd he will blossom next season

CB

Agree0 Disagree0

Why play song - he is so overated, did not track back yesterday, same against QPR, is slow and gives fouls away all the time, if Juve or any one else puts an offer in, i say sell him and give them Diaby as well !

Agree0 Disagree0

Too the above. Song has been our second best player this season, our midfield was hit hard by the departures of Fab and Na$ri, but Song has come out of his shell and has been brilliant. Sure sometimes he gets it wrong with wether to attack or defend but 14 assists this season kind of makes up for it. Where would we be without him? I dread to think. But we would not be where we are today, and the departure of Sir Robin van Persie would be imminent. Anyone who thinks he should leave is truely bonkers.

Have you got £50million to spare, because thats what he will cost you,Ruddy is the Next England Keeper, anyway, Have you forgotton something,Ruddy is British and plays for an English club

Ed, what's the deal now? Thought vertonghen to us was almost a done deal? now vdv's claiming spurs have almost got him? really hope he chooses us! vermaelen get in there and do some convincing!

Believable14 Unbelievable3

Especially if S***s are going to be in the Europa League next year. I'm guessing Vertonghen is hedging his bets: If Arsenal go 3rd he's coming to them, if Arsenal go 4th he'll go to S***s.

Agree0 Disagree0

WIth Vermaelen and Vertonghen being best friends at Ajax I'm pretty sure he'll come to Arsenal. I think Ajax are just trying to bump the price up.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed is that the truth or this the media just hyping up the situation {Ed022's Note - I still expect Vertonghen to join Arsenal regardless of 3rd or 4th place.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope vertonghen does join arsenal do need to look at options at rb swell sagna has had 2 bad indujries jenks is good but still learning and developing i think we need ready players rather then just having prospects look at city having richards as a replacment will be great for most teams i just feel we need to rump up with the defence

06 May 2012 08:28:08
Eds what are the chances of Belhanda and Eriksen both leaving their respective clubs this coming transfer market?

Sydney Gooner {Ed022's Note - Eriksen is slim, he's told close friends that he wants to stay at Ajax for a year or two more, then move to Spain. Belhanda on the other hand could be a possibility.}

Believable12 Unbelievable2

I heard somewhere that belhanda will stay with montpellier for a season

Hi there Ed...I just wanted to know your thoughts on the future of AW, because I think as great a manager he has been, the magic just doesnt seem to be there anymore, such as the quality of players coming into the squad and the players going away, the backroom staff, our style of play and so many other factors. I think it was really evident when we lost 2-1 v Birmingham last season in the CC final, because the way that we conceded that goal was absolute madness. To me, he tries very hard to prove that his methods are right and wont accept that he can get it wrong. I reckon we would reach all 3 finals and be top of the league by a distance but seem destined to blow it all somehow, and its really hard to put the finger on what the underlying issue is. So do you think change is needed at the top and if so, who should be brought in?

Also, even if we won the last two games, how will you be feeling when Chelski face Bayern for the chance to become the first London side to win the CL and knock the 4th team to Europa. I just think it will be a huge injustice to football in general...I mean, first of all, apart from Terry, they have had no players that have come through their academy in the last 8 years and have splashed out big money to get players and if I am right probably had £80-100m sitting on the bench in the final. The way they chop and change their managers is terrible, such as Ancelotti who was treated disgracefully after his achievements. Then of course there is the (lack of) tradition, history and alot of their disgraceful fans as we know them, such as their treatment to Anders Frisk.

Only thing that might stop Chelski is the fact that Bayern have never been beaten by English opposition in the CL at their home ground, but I just dont know....so really if you think today was bad, then prepare for the next two weeks, especially on the 19th...this could be extremely painful (sorry for sounding negative mr.Ed) {Ed022's Note - I'd say the future for Wenger is safe for now mate, I still expect Arsenal to qualify for the CL and if they don't, then perhaps questions will be asked.}

Believable14 Unbelievable4

This is rubbish. With the amount of money that Arsene has had available he has been outstanding! Look at Chelsea and Liverpool for example- both spent ridiculous amounts of money in the summer and we're ahead of them both! There is no manager that could do what he's done with our team. Don't be such a doubter- in Arsene we trust!
