Eds - any news on Adrien Rabiot? Couple of dubious sources linking him with an 8 million move.

His name has cropped up all summer in connection with Arsenal

cheers

My friend just text me to say he has seen wenger stopping off at tesco express on the way back from training and asked him if jack to juve is bs, wenger said "this is stupid, I know of no such thing"

I've just seen Jack Wilshere coming out of The Happy Shopper with some tangy toms, a chomp and a panda pop and he says the same thing.

The situation regarding Arteta is intriguing .

If the interest from Athletic is true, what sort of time scale is in play before they change targets.

Do we buy Carvalho before we let him leave?

Would they want him before they play their champions league qualifier?

If he hasn't transferred at that point and we play him in our own qualifying round is he then cup tied or does that stipulation only come into effect in the champions league actual?

If we get drawn to face Bilbao do we let him go only after the match or does he line up against us for his first competitive match since the transfer? Would their offer still stand if we tried this?

The bits of information coming out of his camp seems to suggest that he wants to stay with us but is waiting on Wenger to pull the trigger one way or the other.

I'm watching this space with great interest, I think its going to play a key role in whether we are going to sign William Carvalho.

Johan Djourou has finally completed his move to Hamburg!

This followed by Vermaelen leaving means Wenger MUST have a signing up his sleeve for CB.

Right here's the deal. I know for a fact we were in for rues before the World Cup and Sanchez, he was first choice Sanchez was a back up plan, but would have signed both there and then. agreed a fee with Dortmund only for the player to turn us down and he wasn't sure we was the right option at this point. Was told were expecting to go back in for him end of window to see if his mind has changed. No one has to believe me but I'm not the kind to make things up, don't see the point. I'm not the only one that knows this so suprised none of the eds know this.

Valley-gooner Reus didn't turn us down the deal was agreed but he got injured and that ended the deal. would love to see this happen

I heard it was one or the other and what aidyfrew said.

The deal was never agreed.

Apparently we are back in for him and are the leading runners according to most newspapers now.

Ed maybe you have done this before but I didn't see it if you did and if so sorry to ask again.
Can you give us 1)a full briefing on the Carvalho situation and 2) Whether or not you think that he will actually join Arsenal.
I know this is a lot to ask so thank you for any reply.

{Ed002's Note - There is nothing new to say. Arsenal are interested but won't want to pay the fee Sporting want.}

Are we in for Reus?

Believable3 Unbelievable12

{Ed002's Note - Arsenal has an interest in Reus but Dortmund don't want to sell. Reus is also injured at present.}

Hello Ed, despite Marco Reus injury do you expect arsenal to still put a bid for him this summer window?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - It makes no sense to try and sign a player and have him take a medical if he is injured.}

Didnt we sign Kalstrom, albeit on loan, knowing he was injured?
Not saying that made sense, but couldn we assess the injury during themedical, and then pull out of the deal if it was too servere?

Hi Ed002, what are Reus's views about moving. Does he wanna leave or is he happy where he is?

Seems we are allegedly interested in Nastasic. Don't recall having seen much of him. Is he any good? He supposedly plays cb or lb. if vermaelen and Monreal go he could be a good replacement and paid for by sales. Reported MU will pay £15m for TV5. Would you sell him to the mancs for £15m or Barca for £10m.

Believable4 Unbelievable17

If he was the only centre back they got and it stopped them pushing for hummels for example I would take it

Agree0 Disagree0

Wudnt mind selling tv5 to united if we could hernandez and cash for him.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd rather we loaned him to Slovan Bratislava than let him go to Man U. Doubt they'd need him next year, so a sale to Barca at any price must be the sensible solution
