Just read that Niang, who signed a 3-year deal with AC Milan last minute instead of signing for Everton apparently, is now up for sale in Jan. Apparently he is basically not what they expected. I don't quite know what they expected of a 17 year old but still. Just passing it on.

I saw Niang play in a youth international a year ago and thought he looked massively over-hyped. He's tall and very athletic but didn't think his footballing ability was too impressive.
That's probably why we opted not to sign him after having him on trial for a week.

Ed do you perhaps know the contract length and availabilty of Keisuke Honda? We know Wenger is an admirer and i cant recall hearing or reading about him signing a new contract.

Are CSKA asking for too much or are other clubs in Europe not convinced by his ability? Or waiting for the right price? I can see him moving to Germany to a club like Leverkusen or Udinese or Napoli in Italy. {Ed002's Note - Italy is the most likely destination still.}
He nearly joined Lazio in the summer, only for CSKA to make it akward, and lazio bought Ederson from Lyon.
He's usually said to be of interest from Liverpool and previously UTD.
He's definetley wasted in the Russian league.
That's derogatory to them I know, but Honda is great, and he can play almost anywhere, which isn't a understatement.
I've seen him play as a CDM, CAM, LM, RW, ST and he even had the odd game at LB!
He's got a mean left foot too.
And would add to our repertoire of amazing free kick takers.

We don't need just good players, we need proper world class players who preferable are young but have played for their respective club for some time.
Someone like a goetze or like our own wilshere (until he got injured) is what I'm talking about, they have a combination of both great world class quality and potential to improve with also a bit of experience.
I'm not saying that Honda isn't good enough, but is he a world class player that will improve our squad massively? I'm not sure
He is world class and would bring miyachi through aswell :)
