Players Arsene has earmarked for January include:
Thierry Henry (6 week loan period, however Arsene is keen for a season long loan)
Mapou Yanga M'Biwa
Klaas Jan Huntelaar
Pepe Reina
Wilfried Zaha (replacing Walcott)
Zhano Ananidze- 19 year old from CSKA Moskva (eventual replacement for Rosicky.)
Jetro Willems- replacing Andre Santos, who is looking to go back to Turkey.
Arsene also likes Xherdan Shaqiri although this is unlikely following Bayern's purchase of him in August. But I am certain that Arsene is in the frame for another wide player, I personally believe this is young 18 year old Luke James from Hartlepool.
Players Leaving include, Arshavin, Chamakh, Gervinho, Squillaci, Mannone, Djourou, Andre Santos and Walcott.
Ramsey may also be out of the door, if so expect a bid for either Marvin Martin or Jeremy Toulalan, as recommended by Gilles Grimandi. Wenger has over £55 million but is only looking to spend £30 -£35 million. Including wages.

Anaziade is from Spartak Moscow, our interest in him was a few years back, not now.

Just because that's what you did in Fifa doesn't mean we're after them, sorry buddy

Wait, do you expect all of these changes in January? Really? Seven or eight in and a host of players out? In January? This looks like three years worth of dealings, not one January.

Imagine if we had never signed Santos and Gervinho but instead used that £17,8m and 80k p/w to get Cazorla last season.

Could have got Ben Arfa or even Mata last season had we been serious enough. Couple that with the losses of Song and Van Persie, you have to ask the question of whether we have any ambition of winning the premiere league again.

I think we have become comfortable with being in the second tier of European clubs. Clubs like Dortmund and Juventus who were not even qualifying for the Uefa cup a few years ago are demonstrating how to quietly assemble a top squad without going crazy. Whether its Pirlo on a free or Reus and Vidal for £11-13m.

The difference between them and us is that they have manager's who get the best out of their respective group of players. Juve have played their best defender at left back while Dortmund often play Gotze out wide, yet the way the rest of the team is set to play it makes no difference really. In transition they all know what to do both in defence and attack.

I read on one of the earlier posts saying players wont solve our problems. I agree, but they can help us stop the decline for the moment.

If didn't sign santos an gervinho last season we wouldn't have made the top 4.

Fact....

Some people on here will never be happy!

We dominated today, ok it took two penalties, 1 stone wall, 1 dive. It's happened for and against us.

WBA have caused every team problems today they caused us very few. It was a good solid performance.

Referee must have seen dive at half time as he gave WBA everything in the start of the second half but in fairness then went completely to pot giving some absurd decisions!

Not one bad performer today some average, Gerv, couldn't core in a brothel with his weekly wage poking out of his ears but hey ho!

Today we won and deserved to win so for god sake be happy people!

Yeah it's true. For me there are 2 ways to look at this - one - we dominated and deservedly won, even if we could have scored more. two - that was the minimum we should be doing in this sort of game, and we should certainly do so again for our remaining games this month. i think people's cynicism is coming from the fact that this victory could be looked at as some kind of success, when it is what we should have been doing all season. there is a point there, but in basic terms we deserved to win today and should be happy. there were mildly worrying signs at the front, and i am a bit concerned that we will struggle scoring against better defensive sides. i am still hoping that we sign another striker in Jan to give us another dimension in this respect. for now, we will just have to wait for the next game and move onwards.

Hi Eds, just wondered whether there is any chance that Diego who plays at Wolfsburg might come to Arsenal. Word is that he isn't getting on with his manager.

I'd be happy for him to come - he is playing really well this season - 15 games, 4 goals, 3 assists and 5 MoMs. Surely gotta be worth a look?

Let me know what you think.

Sally {Ed002's Note - Wolfsburg has changed manager and Diego is serious grief - I would not have thought that there is any chance at all.}

Great we won! But it's worrying we struggle to score frm open play. And hope the Cazorla's dive won't tarnish is reputation and come to affect us in future games. Necessary 3 points taken.

Finally a bit passion, drive and responsibility we have been missing lately! The passing was great and we played with swagger and confidence! That's more like the arsenal we all know and love!

That team today was more or less our best team when you consider the positions. The Ox and Arteta were the only ones played out of position yet we still needed two penalties to beat West Brom at home.

Get a left wing in the same class as Cazorla and Wilshere, and then get a defensive mid to keep our our offensive midfielders from dropping deep. It is essential that Wilshere and Cazorla play more football at the edge of our opponents 18 yard area.

Last point is spot on....the have a tend to sit too deep....we still need more quality and goals from the two wide players... Although the ox looked back on his game today....the kid needs games and offer more away from home.....I'll like him on the right and some natural out and out left sided player with podolski moving in the middle ...km
