22 million for Fellaini. Worth every penny. But we won't act, and he'll go to Chelsea.
BW

Believable52 Unbelievable14

Believe me as an everton fan its an open secret that fellaini has a contract with a release clause but it is 28 not 22..............

Update McCarthy to Arsenal. Wigan and Arsenal attempting to make a deal for the player. As yesterday M'Vila interest broke down.

SR25

Believable15 Unbelievable52

Arsenal have to choose within the next week really who they want as a cdm otherwise their season will fall apart again.

Agree2 Disagree1

Am personally a bit of a McCarthy fan--young and pretty level-headed at his age. Makes good decision making too; any player who can play as a libero would be a welcome addition to the CDM role IMO. Shows that they have positional awareness and can intercept. Make it happen Arsene!

Agree0 Disagree0

Says it all about Arsenal really, looking to push for a trophy so we sign a Wigan player. Where's the logic in that?

Agree1 Disagree0

McCarthy is crap, Wanyama or Capoue should be looked at.

Agree1 Disagree0

It allready has !

Agree0 Disagree0

Interest can't break down!

According to theo walcott is set to sign a new 4 contract taking his wages from 60k to 90k a week.

Also Barcelona's president has said David Villa is not for sale. Ed is it possible arsenal may go for LLorente now or will they still pursue Adrian Lopez?

Believable42 Unbelievable18

According to who?

Agree1 Disagree0

Unfortunately

Agree0 Disagree0

LLorente is going to Juve.

Agree0 Disagree0

Who is " IS ", Theos agent?

WG

88,000 a week plus a one of payment of 3 mill up front.

Agree0 Disagree0

Arsenal to make an offer this week for Mario Gotze for a fee around £28m, first major sign of Arsenal meaning business.

Azzgooner

Believable48 Unbelievable40

Give me Fellaini at £22m (release clause), any day.

Agree1 Disagree1

Lol have to love some of the rumours on here there no way we pay 20 million plus on 1 player thats a fact

Agree2 Disagree1

Theo Walcott is poised to sign a new Arsenal contract this week, can reveal.

Agree2 Disagree0

Ehhhh. wishful thinking....

Agree0 Disagree0

Really?? come on £28m?? we won't pay over £20m for a player so i would say you are having a bubble mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dortmund will not let Goetze leave while they are challenging for the CL, and they are serious contenders this season. I think his price tag will be above £28M as well. I'd love to see him play for us but it won't happen.

Agree1 Disagree0

08 Jan 2013 16:20:41
I wish

Agree0 Disagree0

Dream on.

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you Malaga Gooner in disguise????

Agree1 Disagree0

Was under the impression we bid 35 for Goetze, with that whole 'Mr. X' thingy. Can anyone confirm?

Agree0 Disagree0

Your having a bubble mate ?? what is this the west ham utd rumour page lmao .

Agree0 Disagree0

He made an offer around 18 mouths -2 years ago before he got injured....it was reported to be aver 25m.....get your facts right....

Agree0 Disagree0

We need a DM, got enough central play makers.

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely Christian Erikson would be a cheaper option still class and probs not as much wages too? Just a thought!we will all be shouting for a dose of French league world beaters that half way through next season we'll all be saying are utter garbage ala forehead, chamakh and in some cases giroud, with giroud I would say he is getting better but the Current French league players getting mentioned are not going to scare anyone the smaller teams who were happy if they got a corner against teams like the invincibles!b4 anyone pulls me up on gotze I know he's bundesligue.

Agree0 Disagree0

I thought he had a 30 mil buyout clause. If thats true then 28 mil won't do the trick

Agree0 Disagree0

Arsene has made a club record bid for him before, fact!. Can't see it happening though

Arsenal and everyone else told to back off by Barcelona president Sandro Rosell as Villa is not for sale so ssn say

Brayn

Believable34 Unbelievable11

Good for Rosell.
Pity he doesn't practise what he preaches when other clubs tell Barca to b***** off.

Agree1 Disagree0

he is not for sale in January but in the summer he may come

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Jan 2013 23:47:32
edd can you clear up what English club put in bid for strootman recently could you confirm what club {Ed002's Note - Manchester United and Liverpool took a look at Kevin Strootman last season but tentative enquiries were met by a reluctance to sell so soon after arriving. His performances have attracted further interest from Manchester United, Arsenal, Valencia, AC Milan, Schalke 04 and Hamburg. I expect him to move to Manchester United or Milan perhaps in January, if not in the summer. I don't know of a bid.}

Anyone think we should attempt to get Alex Song on loan for the rest of the season. Hardly playing at barca and it doesnt seem they have any faith in him. Would be welcomed back at the club without a doubt and would be a smarter alternative to m'vila or wanyama, as they would cost around £8-12m and would allow us to spend more money on villa or Mbiwa

Aussie Gunner 12 (first time posting, big fan of the website)

Believable32 Unbelievable58

Song made his decision now he has to live with it.

Agree4 Disagree0

Ha wouldn't that be something.

Agree0 Disagree1

He still had 3years on his contract when he moved, Wenger wanted him out, I doubt he will want him back in.

Agree2 Disagree0

We need a CDM for more than the rest of the seasn. we need to sign someone permanently. Id rather have M'villa, Mbiwa, Wanayama, or Cabaye anyways. Song can get lost.

Agree0 Disagree0

Song had an attitude problem, Wenger will be having a wry smile at Song winning "Worst La Liga Signing of the Year"

He's not got the discipline to play in the central midfield for a top European team, in my opinion

Paul

Agree0 Disagree0

Song had one good season and then seemed to lose a bit of interest - maybe looking for a move. Anyway, he gave away too many silly free kicks outside the box and with our defence at the moment we can ill afford that to keep happening. Talking about the defence - why are we still zonal marking because it just does not work! Wenger's blind faith in certain players such as Ramsey and Gervinho is now spreading to his tactics.

Agree1 Disagree0

08 Jan 2013 17:26:34
Christ you lot are like kids
song went to barcalona, .not spersonhorp
I would have him bck as i liked him .great player never slagged us off,

if anyone here watched the celtic and barcelona match i thought the guy wanyama was diffrent class and this boy has the lot can run tackle pass header attack defend score goals wenger snap him up before someone else does

Agree0 Disagree0

Knowing the way AW works, my bet would be a move for M'bwia, simply because of the fact he can play anywhere across the back four AND as a DM. either way i would welcome the signing, quality player

N. Wales Gunner

Believable90 Unbelievable13

Knowing the way Wenger picks his line ups he will probably play on the left midfield

Agree2 Disagree0

Loooool (previous post). seriously though would not mind M'bwia at all. Seen him a bit in france and a bit in the champions league and he is a BEAST. we need him!

Agree1 Disagree0

Would love it if we signed him quality and versatile

Agree1 Disagree0

He's highly rated, wouldn't anywhere near cost the bank, french, 23 yrs old, 6ft tall and could fill the massive hole in our midfield as well as provide quality cover should our center backs suffer from injuries

on paper it ticks every conceivable box going and for that reason its just not going to happen

Agree2 Disagree0

08 Jan 2013 21:05:11
hopefully he comes but he will probably go to man u

07 Jan 2013 22:13:29
ed have you got anything on theo's contract talks? and do you personly think he will sign a new deal or leave?

cheers KAY9 {Ed002's Note - I expect him to sign.}

Believable35 Unbelievable9

Rumour's that they have agreed on 90,000 a week.

Agree0 Disagree0

That's more confident than last week ed, has something happened to change your mind?
