Righto...total bs

Agree0 Disagree0

LOL. Sure.

Agree0 Disagree0

At least post something believeable if you're going to lie!
Nobody would ever believe that.
What a load of number 2.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah Holt to Villa mate done deal not AFC

Agree0 Disagree0

Ummm, no it isn't.

Ted

Agree0 Disagree0

I am not sure the Arsenal fans will be best pleased with AW if Holt was the RVP replacement. Good player, but not in RVP's class.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

Just heard from my mate who works for macca he told me that RONALDO is a done deal!!! LOOOOOOOOOL

Eds - do you have any update on lewandowski's situation. Is he on wenger's wishlist? or is he more likely to move to Manchester United?
Also, i believe that he has a soft spot for arsenal and has been a big admirer of Henry.

Desi Gooner.. {Ed002's Note - Dortmund's Lewandowski has been watched by Liverpool, Rubin Kazan, Manchester United, Spartak Moscow (who are concerned about losing Welliton) and Lille. I very much suspect Bayern Munich would be top of the list with a cheque in hand should he not agree an extension at Dortmund but Dortmund certainly do not want to sell him to BM. The other more viable option is Manchester United. At present they have been unable to reach agreement over a new deal but that does not mean that they won't.}

Believable1 Unbelievable8

The Poland coach said he is man u bound

J

Agree0 Disagree0

^^^^
actually he said with his playing style he would be able to play for a team like man utd
his words were taken completely out of context

Fair enough Ozyakup has left for Besiktas for regular team football - we can't expect to promote all our youngstars into the first team. I think with Wilshere and the promotion of Eisfeld we will not miss the guy, no matter how much of a talent he potentially will be.

EMG

Believable22 Unbelievable10

I hope we installed a buy back clause just incase.

G95

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely if he was that much of a talent, bigger clubs than Besiktas would have been sniffing?

Hearing news that Arsenal are keeping tabs on Strootman and will have scouts watching him at the Euro's he has had a good season with PSV!

Believable13 Unbelievable12

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree0 Disagree0

Strootman just the type of midfielder arsenal need high work rate box to box he is a jem please wenger waist no time on him , even prefer him than m'vila come-' onn we already got song strootman have the ability to score goals and defend!

Daisuke Matsui to Arsenal from Dijon with Chamakh the other way. No money crossing hands but we would be subject to bonus payments to Dijon.

He will touch on the subject in an article in Monocle magazine which has links to former player Nakata. Commercial opportunities, cheap wage demands can be played just behind a front man or as a winger. Fits the mould for Wenger

Believable2 Unbelievable16

Check his wiki out hahah 31 h on loan everywhere h

Agree0 Disagree0

It is apparently a well discussed option before he joined Dijon AFC were in advanced stages of negotiation

Agree0 Disagree0

Matsui's 31 and has had 10 caps in the last two years. He wouldn't get either a work permit or a special talent permit.

Next!

Agree0 Disagree0

3 games in 1 year. brilliant. NOT. HE AIN'T GOOD ENOGUGH

Sounds like a load of mustard to me...

Dunno why everyone is so desperate for us not to sign Clint Dempsey? Everyone is begging for younger players like Gotze (I would scream if he joined us, he's awesome), Hazard, Eriksen, etc but weren't you the same people yelling we need experience? Dempsey won't choke in big games, he's a hard hard worker, and knows how to get a job done. Gotze though, if we got him.....

Row Z

Believable32 Unbelievable9

Im The same I would wet my self if we signed Goetze but im realistic, its obvious we are not going to compete with the big boys, so as longas we make proven premier league players in the areas we need il be happy Arteta is a great example of this, we could of brought some one else for 20/30m and they could have needed a year or so to adapt but Arteta has just excelled and arguablly now one of our best players although everyone leaves him out?
dan

Agree0 Disagree0

I think people want 2 things. Class and experience. However, not necessarily in the same player. That said, when we buy good players with experience (Podolski, Arteta) - some fans still moan.

It's almost impossible for Wenger to please this group of fans.

Billybob

Agree0 Disagree0

He's A big Fish In A Small Pond

Agree0 Disagree0

People are dumb, he would be a great signing.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its not that people actually dont think he's good enough from what they have seen.... its that they only ever watch arsenal games so see players like dempsey 120 minutes a year and judge them on that... and because he's at a smaller side he must be terrible...

people just need to grow up... dempsey would be an excellent signing.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm an American, and a huge Dempsey fan. I've watched him play a ton, and obviously he's great.

That said I would still much prefer a younger player w comparable experience (Goetze, Belhanda, or Lewandoski specifically). Dempsey wouldn't be cheap to buy, and has at most, three more years left at the top level.

Still, I'd prefer Demspey to nothing, which is what I fear we'll be getting this summer.

Agree0 Disagree0

If I'm not mistaken Dempsey is on the last year of his contract which means he shouldn't be top dollar. This may be Fulham's last chance to get anything for him. And remember he didn't start playing professionally until 22...Unlike Fabregas or Wilshere his legs should last him a bit longer because he started later...Just passing thoughts along.

how much do you think sahin would cost ed? {Ed002's Note - Perhaps 15-20M euros. Sahin has had injury problems this year but rumours do persist about his long term future. If he were to leave I would very much suspect a move to Italy (possibly with AC Milan) or a return to Germany (with Bayern Munich) would come before any thoughts of a move to England. Malaga also spoke to Madrid about the possibility of a loan and Galatasaray would like to take him to Turkey.}

Believable2 Unbelievable7

Real asked for 10m euro

hi guys, some news for you. i have done a bit of research and have some news. hoilett will not be joining neither will dempsey. Walcott will not be leaving but scott sinclair has been linked with the club after a decent season at swansea (£10M price tag though). griound and nene are linked with the club but no news on those yet. Barcelona B star sergi roberto are is wengers sights but he is looking for a move to barcelona. i will keep you informed with any more news.

Thanks Red Gunner :)

Believable2 Unbelievable23

Would be interested to here about this research! :)

Billybob

Absolute rubbish !

Agree0 Disagree0

Iv also heard something like that. but dont think nene would come. Sinclair is good but we got ox and walcott so why would we need him?

Hi question to all the Ed's.

Any idea on whether we were or are looking at the signing of Benayoun. I think personally he was quite a steady player for us in the games he appeared in towards the end of the season. His wage demands are not mad and has he now not been released by chelsea.

Many thanks {Ed002's Note - West Ham, Ajax and Cagliari have shown an interest in Benayoun.}

Aw has a problem signing over 30yr+ players

Lewandowski, who has hit 14 goals in 42 games for Poland, said: "I have always dreamed of playing in the Premier League as it is direct and fast.

"I looked up to Thierry Henry at Arsenal – his speed, creativity and the way he scored goals."

Billybob

Believable14 Unbelievable9

I thought he was Man Utd bound.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't think dortmund will sell another of they're big stars after losing kagawa

Agree0 Disagree0

Dortmund have confirmed they've had contact from man u. I dont believe we were ever in for him, bendtner will go to Germany but the only player who could come the other way is holtby.

J

Agree0 Disagree0

He is top-class. My number 1 Arsenal-target - he's gonna be massive! But yea, looks like Man Utd are getting him, big shame.

Agree0 Disagree0

Have heard lewandowski is going to man utd !

Walcott to be sold to Chelsea for 13millon
You heard it hear first
Tommo

Believable7 Unbelievable42

Yeah cuz im sure walcott will find a starting spot with hazard, marin, mata, torres and hulk all ahead of him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes i have also heard theo will go this season not sure where thou
he has had his chance's the ox will take over

Agree0 Disagree0

Sure his crossing is inconsistent but he provides a really important outlet for the attack - eg we really missed him against Barca in spain last year. Also look at his stats - far better than Belhanda for example and english league is far tougher. He is missing having cesc and na$ri to play with. Also 13mil, less than we paid for him, less than Stuart Downing! ha ha ha you guy's really don't know what you are on about!

Agree0 Disagree0

Never under estimate the power of pure speed.

Agree0 Disagree0

Possible, but not for 13million
kb

Agree0 Disagree0

Whats your source..? As frustrating as he can be I really think he will start playing once certain sections get off his back..he's a good pro and will come good
Drakey

Agree0 Disagree0

I heard it before

Agree0 Disagree0

13 million because he's in the last year of his contract

Agree0 Disagree0

Even though arsenal would make a small profit on this, 9.1 was total fee for him, he would command atleast 20m as he is english, besides, i cant see wenger letting him go until he has proved he was well worth buying.

Hi all, question for the eds or anyone really. Read a few comments on here that it will be mid season in the russian league at the moment but as of last season wasnt the format changed so it lasted longer so that for this season it will be july - may like most other leagues around europe? do you think this will have any effect on transfers, maybe dzagoev, doumbia etc? thanks

Bedford Gooner {Ed002's Note - You are correct that they have made a change to their season's format - but contracts still run to December so Dzagoev is not available for free just yet.}

Believable3 Unbelievable3

Thanks for the quick reply ed, i was just wondering really if CSKA would entice clubs to make an offer so that they can get some money for the player and replace him before the season starts rather than lose a player midseason, unless they think he will sign a new contract of course? thanks

Bedford Gooner {Ed002's Note - They might do but why would Dzagoev accept and then give up on what could be a very lucrative signing on fee?}

How close are arsenal to signing Kalou? I personally think he would be a great signing! {Ed002's Note - Not close.}

Believable7 Unbelievable24

Are we even interested in signing him still?

Agree0 Disagree0

Was this comment sarcasm....or do you not know what football ability is? My nephew in California is a better player than him!! :S J x

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Newcastle are signing him. Not good enough for Arsenal especially if he's not good enough for our 4th place rivals!

Rob {Ed002's Note - There is interest in Kalou from Schalke, Newcastle and Galatasaray. Previously Olympiakos approached Chelsea with an offer to take Kalou in January but the player has no interest in a move to Greece. Marseille did make an enquiry but the problem would be wages. If that could be resolved it could provide a solution that suits everyone.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Hopefully about as close as we are to signing messi and ronaldo.. Not the sort of player we need..
Drakey

Agree0 Disagree0

If we sign him, im jumping in the thames.

Agree0 Disagree0

He's SPL standard at best.
