Hey Ed,

Do you think Wenger will move for a backup striker in January and try to move Bendtner on? Or do you think we will make due with our current squad and wait until the summer to make changes?

We all know that Arsene is not very fond of the January window, but seeing as he failed to get Demba Ba on loan, do you think he will try again? Also, I saw what you said about Benzema, do you think that could mean a January move?

Thanks as always Ed, very much appreciated.

Cheers,
Trinidad-Gooner {Ed002's Note - Arsenal will look to brining in a forward in January. There is interest in Benzema and he could move in January.

In terms of other forwards there has been interest but I suspect the chances of a move to Arsenal going ahead in January are not good:

Arsenal, Real Madrid and PSG would all like to strike a deal with Milan at some point but El Shaarawy is generally happy where he is and Milan have no intention of selling unless a very significant offer is made. Those quoting him not playing might want to consider his injuries. Previous interest from Monaco and Spurs remains unconfirmed and Napoli dropped out of the running over the summer when they signed Callejon, as did Manchester City when they signed Jovetic. Do not be surprised to see an offer from Dortmund or just possibly Chelsea.

Dortmund and Lewandowski were unable to reach agreement over a new deal and they probably won't. Whilst there is no agreement in place for him to join any other club, it is clear that there has been interest from Manchester United and some interest from Bayern Munich, who Dortmund would prefer not to sell to but the player would like to join. Arsenal were represented at a game late last season in Stuttgart and I suspect that since then Lewandowski was of interest Napoli, Real Madrid and Chelsea have a sustained interest in Lewandowski but the player seems keen to run down his contract and move to Munich at the end of the season. Real Madrid are looking to move for a striker in January and could leap to the front of the queue with a decent bid. Interest from Bayern Munich may have shifted elsewhere.

Mitroglou has attracted a lot of interest with Mainz, Inter and Dortmund declaring an interest in the player. Certainly Arsenal has had the player scouted and I suspect others have done the same.}

Demba Ba - it makes no sense to me and I suspect he may well be off to Spain or East London in January. The issue will be insuring him.}

Think people are forgettin the fact that podolski is still too come back too the team along wit theo and the ox so unless its a world class striker comin in like suarez or benzema/lewandowski then wenger should keep his money in his pocket til the summer. by the way nice too see ed 002 back hope he stays now

reporting that Arsenal will battle it out with Monaco and Napoli for Marsellies centre back Nickolas N'koulou. {Ed002's Note - Napoli has already had two offers rejected.}

Apparently Wenger will be putting in a bid for Man Utds Javier Hernandez in January window. More than happy if we get him.

Let's hope so. He'd be perfect for us. Might even encourage Vela to come back sometime

Excellent player, but I can't see United selling him to us. I would love to see us break the bank for Lewandowski, who is the closest player style-wise to RVP and much younger.
