My question to the Ed's is what players and how many are likely. My personal opinion is Podolski, Dempsey, Vertonghen and M'Vila? Maybe McGregor? {Ed002's Note - Maybe as you have suggested - but I am not so sure that Dempsey will be so easy to get..}

What a turn-around for Arsenal (and United) this season! Arsene (and Sir Alex) shows real class yet again.
I'd love to see United and Arsenal battling it out for top spot because I miss those days! Hopefully next year.

Arsenal played like true champs aginst man city. it takes alot more than millions pumped into a club to create a top team in europe. takes the likes of wenger/ ferguson/mourinho/guardiola. to help a club on its way to stardom.city has a long way to go to reach hights like these managers clubs have.

Arsenal are currently playing like they are going for the title. If only we didn't through away stupid games earlier in the season. It would definitely by Arsenal and United going for the title.

My take on the transfer dealings for the summer in a perfect world:
Out: Almunia, Squillaci, Ju Young, Chamakh, Mannone, Lansbury, Arshavin, Bendtner and Denilson - transfer fees received c.£22.5m weekly wages saved c. £355k or c.£18.5m p.a
In: McGregor, Podolski, Vertonghen, M'Vila and Giroud - transfer fees paid c.£56m weekly wages to be paid c.£295k or c.£15.4m p.a
As Wenger said it is not about quantity its quality. We have a silly amount of players out on loan.
Those coming in would be quality!

Irish Gooner. Know some one who works for the Irish sun,and he says Wenger wants M'vila as he rates him so highly and will pay to get him. He also wants Vertonghen, But Djourou will go not Mertasacker. He also said that Wenger wants Dempsey, And Olivier Giroud. As he wants to have a big squad of top class players so he can go for the title and champions league. He is also showing interest in Rangers keeper Mcgregor , to keep Sczezny on his toes. There is also 2 young prospects coming as well. Lewis Holtby and a young Brigthon centre back called Dunk. Have this information on good authority.
Please not Lewis Holtby, he's useless really, almost like the Jay Spearing of Germany, all huff and puff, nothing to show. Unlike Ramsey he doesn't even shoot or pass.
He is wrong about Dunk. We scouted him and decided he isn't good enough, which is very correct as he has been dropped from the Brighton team. Also has a criminal charge hanging over him about an alleged sex assault. Never happening.
To the first poster, how many games of Holtby have u seen? Cant b many if u think he doesnt shoot. He has a great shot from distance, simialr to arteta. He will b a top player in a few years

Mate you've probably just seen the screamer he scored against Kauserslaughtern. He scored one goal from distance, big deal. Just because Yossi Benayoun scores a headed goal does it make him the best header in the league? I seriously doubt it. You've got to watch the kid, not just highlights. He runs around a lot granted, but he doesn't do much.

we have the 70 million we got let of from the tax bill..
we have the 45 million we put a side if we did not qualify for the cl and that does not include any players we sell.
why does every 1 think we are skint?
Whoever thinks Arsenal do not have a lot of money to spend are very silly indeed!
£120m put aside in cash in January, at the end of the season we will have more cash plus player sales cash which equals a lot of cash and Arsene WILL spend a lot of CASH so lets wait and see what happens but all deals will be done very early me thinks so fingers crossed.

We're not getting Gotze because he's signed a new contract with Borussia Dortmund.
M'Vila we have a real chance of bringing to the Emirates.
Martin is a one season wonder.
Belhanda looks like a really good player; quite physical.
Vertonghen would strenghen our defence a lot, but we need to get rid of Squillaci.
Giroud looks very deadly up front and he would be an ideal back-up for RVP.
Also, we have lots of players on loan who will have their chance to shine next season like: Miyaichi, Lansbury and Wilshere will be back along with Frimpong.
We have LOTS of money. We could easily afford Hazard and Gotze.
