I had to laugh, Tottenham fans were celebrating Redflapps aquital, until the halfwits realised that it enabled him to become England manager. As they say, the pain at White Hart Lame, just goes on....

Believable20 Unbelievable6

What pain?
your pain is 10 pts greater than ours.
redknaap will stay til the end of the season, then take the england job.thats what we expected anyway, this will give him so much hunger to finish on a big high, that to be honest,we cant wait.we do want our manager to stay, and you cant get shot of yours.we want the nut to stay in charge at yours, cos he is hilarious.next season when the special 1 is our new manager, cranky wenger will be the wally without the lolly AGAIN! so all that remains to be said is..looking forward to destroying you at the libary again.can just about hear you down there!

Essex YOD, why are you posting on an Arsenal forum? Mate the season hasn't even ended and you're giving it all that. You are so happy about finishing above a team, who has to play the first team in every competition? Mate, I guarantee you that next year your form won't be as good. Also, don't think that Modric and Bale are at Spurs for the Long haul because we know when it comes to the summer of next season they'll be playing their trade somewhere else. Lets be honest except for Ledley King (MR injruy-prone) who wants to end their football career at Spurs....

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont you think it says something about the way things have changed that you lot are buzzing off the fact that you might get a chance to overtake us cos our manager might be leaving cos he's rated highly enough for the England managers job? Wouldnt have been the case a few years ago, enjoy next years Europa League

Essex,

I respect that you are a tottenham fan, but I question why you would post on a gunners thread.

That said I agree the thread was a little baiting and unfair to Spurs. I really do not care if Harry was guilty or not guilty of tax evasion or if he leaves to be appointed for England. The fact is Arsene is a better manager than Harry will ever be and appointing Harry will be another in a long line of mistakes by the FA. Everyone forgets his time with WHU and the problems on the coast (x2) because he lucked into a great situation at Spurs, but lets be honest he's not even in the top 5 managers in England.

That said Tottenham are 10 points up and playing some great football. After so many years in Arsenal's shadow I know it must be great to lord that position over gooners and, to be fair. arsenal fans weren't exactly kind to Spurs fans over the years. I would suggest that you will not be 10 points up come March as you play Newcastle, Arsenal, Man Utd, Everton in succession.

As to the Special One, it is nice to have dreams, but I do not think Spurs have the cache for him. I think he stays at Madrid or takes over for Fergie at Utd or the England job, let us face facts Spurs is the 6th biggest club in the Country, why would you go from Madrid to Spurs?

I also agree with other posters that it is far easier to be consistent in the league when not playing in the champions league, which Tottenham found out last year.

I am also skeptical of your plans to build a new stadium and your ability to compete while same is being done.

In respect to all of these factors I say enjoy your great season and check back in with Gunners fans, if the annual tradition is broken of Gunners finishing about Spuds come May.

Ha! The Toot will lose Redflapps, they cant afford Mourinho & will end up outside the top again next season. As they say the pain at White Hart Lame just goes on.....

bayern have signed Xherdan Shaqiri

big tony

Believable15 Unbelievable2

Great buy...Wonder if its a back up for Robben or maybe he is going in the summer? Anyone heard anything

Agree0 Disagree0

Well done to shaqiri...one more great player off the market., still young and they are a top team.

Agree0 Disagree0

Only cost £8.4 million...

Agree0 Disagree0

Plus add ons with performance and appearance, total will rise to about 15 million euros, if all objectives are met, but most likely they should get 12 mill at best, in appearance and improvement, also he is a full fledged national player

Agree0 Disagree0

Decent signing. Frankly not a player I wanted at Arsenal.

Would be interested to know Ribery's availability - although he is very injury prone...

A player who terrorised ManUtd, certainly not a player i would want at Arsenal...

Sunderland have just played their stars in extra time today (Wednesday), there gonna be tired out for the weekend, good news for us

Believable11 Unbelievable8

However next week we travel to milan before
we play them in the fa cup.shud beat them in both and i'd settle for a score draw in milan.

Hopefully!

Agree0 Disagree0

However when we play them again (in the FA Cup) it is us who will have had the tricky midweek fixture

Agree0 Disagree0

How far we have fallen when we have to worry about Sunderland having tired players to beat them

Agree0 Disagree0

Sunderland are in form. They can beat a lot of teams at their place way they are playing. O'Neil got Celtic in the Champions League and to the Europa final. Look at the form not the reputation.

Agree with above comment, it shouldent matter if there players are tired are not arsenal should be able totake care of them, sounds like a sheer sign of desperation hoping there tired after a cup game so we can beat them, if we are on song we can take 3 or 4 off any team in the league, im so excited about seeing Ox Chamber whizz again i think he is going to be a superstar, i would try and sell wallcott and buy hazard, get RVP on a new deal and our front three would be frightening, mabey sign GIROUD as backup aswell coz RVP we cant keep expecting RVP to be fit and ready for evry game, we have a great chance in the champs league i think of getting far so we must keep him fit

Agree0 Disagree0

Thierry's last game in an arsenal shirt...damn

Agree0 Disagree0

Regarding some of the comments, I think the Djourou signiture indicates that Wenger is looking to tie up players.

I think Walcott will sign an extension. RVP, we all know the situation. I suspect if he leaves it will be aboard (not to Man city).

That said, I think if we can get into the champions league he will probably sign a new 3yr contract.

I don't see Giroud coming in. Seems very overpriced. Bare in mind we are looking to clear about numerous attackers:
Park
Chamakh
Bendtner
Vela
Arshavin
RVP(?)

So we would need to spend wisely to replace these players.

No it isn't. The Milan game is - IF He doesn't extend to the 26th.
