A friend of mine who knows a sport journalist (always seems to be close to the mark when it comes to London clubs) hearing some roumours that Arsenal reprisentatives are meeting with Swansea representatives tonight in London in order to come to some sort of agreement over the transfer of Michel Vorm, if talks go well he will stay in London tonight in order to meet with the club tommorow morning before returning to Swansea, any move would take until early next week with personal terms to be agreed, would be a great signing for us as backup to Szczeny, what do you think eds? Possible?
Believable20
Unbelievable86
He's a very good keeper in my opinion but not sure he'd leave Swansea if he wasn't guaranteed first team football.
Wouldn't say no to his arrival though!
Mike
Agree0
Disagree0
He'd be great as cover, but certainly he would not want to come to be a backup
Agree0
Disagree0
He's prob good enough to take szesnys place at the mo
Agree1
Disagree0
I dare say he will be a backup, but probably a first choice.
I think he is a better than Sczc!
Agree1
Disagree0
He's better than Szczesny, arguably best keeper last year.
Agree1
Disagree0
Why would he be backup
Agree1
Disagree0
Not likely, why would he move from a team where he's guaranteed first team football to a team where he won't get a game?
Agree0
Disagree1
Why would michel Vorm leave a club in form to come to us when we stagnant.
Why would he risk contending for first choice when he is assured games with Swansea...come on lets think before we post
ES
Agree0
Disagree0
Back up? If we sign him he should start as our number 1 GK!
Agree0
Disagree0
Any keeper that comes in will be backup and will need to know that. Szczesny is still our main man and I think the boss still has faith in him.
Agree0
Disagree0
I don't think so to be honest, it isnt like he would come to us and wenger needs midfielder and lots of defenders

Washed up, overpaid, and lousy attitude. I don't want a player who has a reputation built on one fantastic season while the others have been miraculously ignored.

The rumour was started on a website Transfer Centre, in the YOUR RUMOURS section. a website then used it, and so on, and so on.
WG
Agree0

Not that i think we will get him, but just because they have accepted a bid doesn't mean they won't accept other bids
Agree0

Just cause they accepted a bid doesn't mean he is definately going there If the player doesn't want to
Agree1
Disagree0
10 Jan 2013 09:07:34
They have accepted a bid, but theres no way he will move there.. thats will be the end of his career.. they have only done that to attract alternative interest!
Agree0
Disagree0
Just because they've accepted a bid, doesn't mean he's going to go there.
Agree0
Disagree0
Isn't he going to Turkey?
Then again, I won't believe anything until it's a done deal.
Agree0
Disagree0
It was on a reliable source. and to make that clear: just because Inter said they accept the offer from galatasaray it doesn't mean Wesley wants to go there. The officials of Inter said : " Now it's up to Wesley to look at the offer." so he didn't agree anything right now. he may be off to Turkey, but it is up to him.
AustrianGunner
Agree0

Sneider doesnt want to come to arsenal, i thought he was joing galatasary anyway lol;0
Agree0

A 2 year deal has been accepted by Wesley and he will receive 4 million euros a year. So AustrianGooner your source wasn't so reliable on this deal, maybe other deals but not his one. And to add to this why would Arsenal accept a player with wages that are nearly doubled Arshavin's wages(Currently the top earner at our club)?

Arsenal have targets on a few players:
Potential Loan Deals:
Alex Song - Not playing at Barcelona
Isker Casiiass (Spelling*) - Currently excluded from the Real Team and just costing them wages.
Leavers:
Arshavin to Zenit - 1.5m
Squillachi, anywhere
Rosicky - Dortmund 2.5m
Signings:
M'Villa - Viera replacement, Diaby replacement
Butland if no Casiliass
Lopez
Walcott will sign before City Game...
First ever post, will call myself

Welcome to the site Gunner 118, however i cannot see arsenal loaning Song back since he just moved to barca because he didn't get the deal he was looking for with us.. doubt a change of heart would occur so quickly..
and there is no way that casillas is coming.. he would be on the bench anyways since shez is developing into a world class keeper..
honestly, i would rather arshavin at LW over gervinho.. always loved the russian magician..
hoping for m'villa i know he has disciplinary issues but AW can sort that out, he's not at balotelli's level yet..
i hope walcott stays but he has to humble himself a little bit.. just because you wear the 14 jersey does NOT make you the next henry.. i have always considered him a right winger who could play striker in a 4-4-2 system playing off a target man such as giroud.. but he cannot be a central striker in the 4-3-3 system we play.. surely both he and arsene wenger must realize this.

Apparently Arsenal have made a £17m bid for Lamela and I was told it could be done next week. Was also told that team mate Mattia Destro (on loan from Genoa) will move to Arsenal for £9m in the summer as well to support Walcott and Giroud.
Has anyone else heard this? Ed have you heard of any interest.
As for defenders and cms the rumours around Mbiwa and Diame won't go away will they?
mhc {Ed002's Note - I would not hold your breath for a January move to Arsenal. He has horribly complex ownership issues and would need a work permit - that will perhaps not be as easy to get as some imagine. One English club were interested but stepped away because of these complexities. If he was a target for the summer it would make more sense.}

Hey Ed002, I have been following this site since 2006 and have been on here everyday since, great job guys with this site. I searched this rumour mill for any information on the striker Loic Remy and the last update was on the 14th of December. I know Wenger rates him because of his occasional comparison to Henry, so any update on Wenger going after him in this window?
ENCINITAS GOONER {Ed002's Note - Chelsea, Spurs, Newcastle, Everton, QPR, Shalke 04 and Lille have shown varying degrees of interest in Loic Remy but there have been no approaches to Marseille regarding Remy from Liverpool. There was discussion with Chelsea about Remy during the negotiations over Azpilicueta but it came to nothing. Remy would perhaps be interested in a move to England but his recent form has been poor and Marseille know it will be difficult to get a good price for the player. Newcastle will very likely complete the transfer of Remy in January, although there is a slim chance that they might face opposition from Everton who made a recent approach to Marseille about his availability on loan and QPR who are looking for a deal invloving a player moving in the opposite direction. As far as Marseille are concerned, they have started looking for a replacement but will hold out as long as they can to get the best price they can.}

Hello guys, couldn't help but post the rumours ive been hearing:
The rumours are Roberto Soldado has been involved with a phone call with AW considering a move to the emirates.
He would make an historic signing due to his prolific heading and finising it would make a wonderfull edition to Wengers 11. He has been an clinical edition to the La Liga and would no doubtly score more than 15 goals a season he is the ultimate centre forward mystro. Another totally epic signing from the Wenger myster shorley? Heard anything about this ed? if so BRILL !

Ed, i just saw an article saying Chelsea are interested in the man, David Villa. i am not saying for definite he is moving but what i am saying is, if he does move to EPL he will move to Chelsea due to tight pocket Stan, but then Arsenal are meant to be a passing team like Barca (really poor these days we tend to create very little from pass and move) so Villa might want to move to us more. Whats your opinion? Will he move at all and to who? would you even like him at arsenal? {Ed002's Note - Arsenal are certainly interested in David Villa but I am not aware of any agreement at this time and Liverpool may well have made an approach about a loan. Given Villa has never wanted to play outside of Spain, is 30+ and no doubt be expensive in terms of insurance and wages, I am not so sure it would be a great move by any EPL club. Whilst he and Sanchez will be sacrificed, I suspect the summer is the more likely time for a move.}
