Any update on mandzukic to arsenal? Says he wants to leave and there's reported interest from arsenal and Chelsea.

Believable10 Unbelievable16

{Ed002's Note - Manchester City see Mandzukic as a replacement for Dzeko and Manchester United remain interested.}

Then where Dzeko is going?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Dzeko may well be leaving but interest from Borussia Dortmund has waned. However, I expect a bid from Valencia and just perhaps Inter.}

Interesting. Thank you ed

Any idea where dzeko is going. I've always rated the guy.

{Ed002's Note - RTP.}

I sent that before it was answered. Lol

Hi eds,
Any truth to PSG moving for Cesc? I'd be very, very happy to see Jose get gazumped by PSG!

Believable2 Unbelievable15

{Ed002's Note - I would not think so, their interest is elsewhere.}

Fabregas is almost certainly going to Man Utd. He was very close to joining Utd last summer. The deal is still there to be done although there are other interested parties.

Agree0 Disagree1

1) would southampton be willing to sell him

2) if so would the price be something arsenal are aware of and willing to match or just interest at the moment?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - (1) Southampton won't want to sell him. (2) I have no interest in discussing money.}

Like some other seasoned and wisened participants on this board I am quite keen on Schneiderein to join the rotation with Arteta and Flaminin. However, as good as the pick up sounds on paper.age, skills, potential and cost . I don't recall any credible sources on this one, help me out here, has there been anything to give us hope that he is a serious target? Many thanks and ed 02 this means you!

Believable8 Unbelievable8

{Ed002's Note - Both Arsenal and Napoli will look to Southampton's Schneiderlin this summer.}

My source is from within Southampton. Talks have definitely already been held for Schniederlin. I'm sorry that I can't name who my source is but I can definitely say that it is someone who should know.

Agree0 Disagree2

Pretty much common knowledge that after Bender he is our number 1 target!

Does Seedorf's replacement as AC Milan manager have any effect on Ballotelli's future?

Been cut today to favourites by majority of betting sites to sign Steven Caulker?

Has there been any updates? Would be a good back up.

Believable4 Unbelievable26

Hmm, signing an ex Tottenham player should only happen once in a lifetime, and I remember Sol Campbell so I dearly hope this is not true.

So you would rather us miss out on a quality signing in a position where we are short? Give it a rest Epping.

Manzukic has said he wants to leave bayern any chance of an afc bid ed02

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I cannot answer "any chance" questions but Manchester City see Mandzukic as a replacement for Dzeko and Manchester United remain interested.}

Epping, what about Jimmy Robinson, Willie young or the great Pat Jennings?. We signed them from the mob down the road, or maybe a bit before your time.

As a keeper myself I am ok with the great Pat Jennings crossing the divide. but that's it. for every PJ there's a Terry Neil. perhaps all those who think it's ok would be happy for Cesc to sign for Spurs?

Oh and UG if that's your idea of a 'quality signing' then you need to get out more. perhaps we can go around the minor leagues to pick up some other 'quality' players.

How is the footballing ability of Steven Caulker related to my propensity to leave the house? This is highly irregular. On another note, we will not make any huge signing at CB, as Wenger will not disrupt the current partnership, so this exactly the type of level for backup that we will be looking at.

P.S, I see that you regard Lukaku as a one season wonder, so maybe you should make more regular trips to the dentist.

Yes UG, so far Lukakku has been a one season wonder. by simple definition and as with all players they need to do the same again the next season to lose that tag. Its no fault of his own of course, but this time last season Chelsea received more interest in Demba Ba than him. Surely if he was as good the previous season we and other top teams would have joined the queue for him(or Chelsea would have kept him)? Instead I seem to remember more interest was being generated by his fellow countryman, Benteke. Funnily enough I don't see as many people on this site suggesting we should sign Benteke at the moment? Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that he had a poor 2nd season compared to the year before (although on this occasion, and in his defense, injury was a major factor). Finally thanks for the concern but the dentist was happy last time I attended ;)

In 12/13 he scored more league goals and more assists in a weaker team than what he managed last season in a very good side. So I am lost as to how this constitutes to being a weaker season than last year.

Agree0 Disagree0

How is lukaku a one season wonder last game of the 12/13 season he scored a hatrick against champions man u in a poorish side wba under wengers guidence lukaku would be a very good signing he's fast powerful and can score/create goals as he did at everton and ge knows the league doesn't need time to find his feet I've heard chelsea would sell for 18 million and in my opinion money well spent

So the Napoli chief has "laughed off" £18m for Insigne. Fair enough, he's a good, young player. If we're offering £18m for him, surely we can offer £20m for Sanchez or Griezman? Have we made any concrete enquiries on either of those 2 eds?

Signing off, the real Outback. With a capital O

Believable18 Unbelievable8

It's not only about the transfer fee.

PSG are offering Griezmann 150,000 per week.

A wage that we do not want to match, .

Did we actually bid for him?

Agree0 Disagree1

Look, De Laurentis is as nutty as squirrel excrement.

Insigne is probably valued at more than £18-20m by him, and he does seem a talented player, but personally, I'm unconvinced by him so I'm not to bothered about this rumour.

Griezman basically has his pick of a few clubs here.
He could go to PSG for £££ and an easy life.
Man city for £££ and an occasional starting berth.
Man Utd for £££ and wonder where it all went wrong.
Or us for £ and a probable starting role.

I also doubt, even with their financial issues, that Sociedad will be budging below his release clause anyways!
