so according to liam brady, who has been working with arsene wenger for 17years wants wenger to stay on. He also stated that wenger hasn't had the proclaimed money to spend and hopes the board actually provide him with sufficient funds to get the squad to the level of 8 years ago.

What do you make of this?

Could be true, could be more rubbish. Let's face it, there has been so many news stories in recent times of establishments and public figures lying and acting improperly that I can no longer trust that our beloved club is run in the correct manner. We may find out one day that they were all complicit in ruining our club.

2.) 07 Mar 2013
Believe what you want. let's see what actually happens during the summer. 8 years of the same. is it really going to change (may do if we don't get top 4)?

3.) 07 Mar 2013
I really hope he stays.

4.) 07 Mar 2013
Why does everyone think that if Arsenal do not get champions league football and lose the cash injection that comes with it that our frugal board will all of a sudden cough up MORE money when they receive less? It makes sense from a fans perspective, but the board want money. So realistically, if they don't get champions league football, expect more players to be sold and cheaper, even lesser alternatives to be bought.

I think it's nonsense - I don't think someone like Brady would have a any more of an idea than us, just because he is employed by Arsenal. The truth is between those in charge of the funds and those who keep the accounts. Not Brady. Also, Wenger spent £50m two summers ago and half the signings were rubbish or would need at least an entire season to settle because they weren't what we needed at the time of purchase - he has had money to spend be it through player sales or a hand out, and he has still spent horribly unwisely. Nobody can defend that. It wouldn't make a difference if he had £10m or £70m he still wouldn't have bought a DM he would still keep Diaby he would still buy Santos instead of Enrique and let fantastic squad additions like Ba and Moses go to Chelsea and Mata whose value has doubled since joining Chelsea. This is not about not having money because he has sold our best players to ensure he has. What he's then done with it has been atrocious and what's even worse is that the coaching has slipped so badly at Arsenal that top players have completely flopped! It's 50-50 between making poor signings and then ruining them on top. Every single player needs coaching. Everyone. Vermaelen is a great defender who needs coaching. Santos was once a superb defender who needs coaching. So many players are flopping at Arsenal and they join with bags of talent and the guy whose remit is the opposite of seeing that happen is : WENGER

Spot on Metal.

this suggestion that Wenger has had no money is the biggest lie and biggest load of bow locks to come out of the club.

£123 million in the bank. that money didn't just appear out of thin air. "board members" are not filling their coffers, its in the bank, sitting there, doing nothing but accruing interest while wenger convinces himself that this team is good enough without investment.

Wenger OUT!

So Liam has no idea but Metal knows

Absolute nonsense, Wenger instigates the spending at the club. He confirmed that his was the personic 'socialist' wage policy & there is no doubt it is his decision not to spend. I think he has stubbornly held to his belief that we could produce players & compete with the big boys. He has been proved wrong as they simply depart to clubs that pay more and are generally more successful. David Dein warned the board that we needed a sugar daddy (an oligarch)in order to compete with the likes of Chelsea & Man Utd. That was before the emergence of Man City. Its time for Wenger to depart and I would love to see Mourinho installed as manager.

I don't mind if you feel the need to get personal with me Mrs Anonymous but the simple truth is I am not alone in my thoughts and in fact millions of people worldwide including pundits and players believe there are funds so it's not a case of Brady doesn't know but Metal does - it's a case of nobody does for sure but just because he's Liam Brady doesn't mean he knows any more than anyone outside the club. Tell me how a guy with no money is allowed to spend 1m on when we have youth players as good, 1m on Campbell who we didn't need, £3m on Park who never played, £15m on the Ox who wasn't ready, etc etc etc with a £150m wage bill when there's no money? I don't see £50m being spent meaning no money? It was still there - yes he sold players to get it but Wenger HAS spent money and he's done it horribly!

10.) 07 Mar 2013
Too true metal.

we won't talk about the 10+ players who are out on loan.

the youth policy that has failed.

the constant playing players out of formation.

having no no1 gk since leahman left.

DID I MENTION squillachi and chamach

metal why do you entertain posters that can't be bothered to register?

Hello Ed and fellow Gooners, AW must be held accountable for everything that goes on the pitch. His team selections, woeful tactics are at times embarrassing. He has spent money BADLY. Mertesacker, Santos Squillacci, Chamakh were awful buys. TV and Kozza are slipping because of the way he is handling the defensive problems, also he should be handling The Ox situation better than what he is. It beggars belief that Eisfeld, Gnabry and Myachi haven't had more involvement, if talent like that was avaliable to Fergie he would have no qualms throwing them in the deep end. As I said before, at that age they are eager to impress and have no fear. The amount of young talent he has signed and problems with visa and not any of them has really borne friut as of yet. His handling of Poldi is nothing short of disgraceful and I wonder if the player himself must be wondering what the e--ing hell he has got himself into. The leaving him on the bench Sunday till 10/15 mins from the end was unbelievable. I do personally believe if you gave him 75 TO 100 MILL to spend he would waste it on crap. I just can't wait for the 2 press conferences next wk before and after the Bayern game and what bull---t he will spin us. The bottom line hear is we try to stay positive but there is just nothing there to cling on to and what this manager who I once thought could walk across water ahas drag us into this downward spiral.
Thanks for the site Ed

Spot on Metal Gooner and Champgne Charlie!

13.) 10 Mar 2013
Gimme a break, Arsene does not own the money at the club, Metal, Charlie your frustration has absolutely no proof!

I want the two of you both to show me one record or conversation or anything other than supposition that shows me any proof!

Its amazing that ex players, members of the club rnd Kroenke's proven track record with all his clubs (do you research) refute your comments yet every post you make is Arsene this, Arsene that!

Take your frustration out of the equation and just prove to me once that Arsene refuses to not spend money. In return Ill show you a detailed explanation of Kroenke's business protocol with all his franchises.

Ironic that Kroenke, Usamanov, Perez and many others in football support Arsene and would love his service but the two of you continue to bash him without any ACTUAL knowledge!

Gunners4Life In AW we trust!
