What happened Ed? Have we lost interest in Schneiderlin? I thought it was practically a done deal.

{Ed025's Note - it certainly looked that way alex, but as we all know things can change very quickly mate, maybe the rise and rise of le coq persuaded arsene that the money could be spent elsewhere?

Well we certainly won't sign both Vidal and Schneiderlin, so maybe there is your answer.

Personal opinion, please don't ruin me for it! Lol I think wenger saw schneiderlin as a long term solution, but with some of the performances coq put in, he now doesn't think he needs him. Vidal will be good for coq as he can teach him and mentor him, aswell as providing competition for him until he is ready, hence going for a slightly older midfielder, even if it is only 2 years.
