Ed,

Not sounding the call for "Wenger out! ", but out of curiosity, were we to ever look for a new manager in the near future, with whom might we expect to be linked?

{Ed025's Note - i would be guessing alex, but the likes of pellegrini and bielsa would be available, blanc and simeone are also ones that would be of interest i would think mate..

If, in this hypothetical situation, we were looking for a new manager as soon as next summer I'd say someone like Simeone or Pellegrini but overall I think we'd get someone like Blanc or maybe even Viera one day (I haven't been tracking his performances in the MLS I must admit) . So I'm basically seconding Ed I guess.

Ofcourse the perfect scenario would be that Arsene Wenger lives forever and therefore never leaves Arsenal :)

Simeone's brand of football is very defensive, hardly the passing style we're used to under Arsene.

Pellegrini would be a great choice, he plays great football and has done well with most teams he's been with. Would be interesting to know how much input he had into transfers at City.

I'd actually quite like it if we were to take a punt on a younger manager. Someone like Eddie Howe, De Boer or Luis Enrique (although he hardly set the world alight at Roma) .

De Boer and Berkamp would surely be considered. Not mentioned much lately but Joachim Loew may be looking to move back into club management after the euros, would he consider the Premiership?
