Hi Eds,

The Mustafi rumour is picking up again today with several sources claiming that the fee has been agreed and he will have a medical next week. Can you confirm if there is any truth in this? Many thanks.

I'm still not sure why we've let this drag on for so long, either get it over the line or move on to other targets. There is plenty of CBs out there who'd be fantastic for us.

Isn't Mustafi injured? It makes llittle sense to sign a much needed CB who can't play immediately. Perhaps this explains the holdup?

Valencia need to sell and we need to buy but they want 40 million Euros. Wenger doesn't think he is worth that so they are haggling.
Year after year we pay the price for not doing our business early. Bayern secured Hummels in June .
We need a top class striker. Why can't Wenger just throw 100M at Bayern or Athletico and take Lewandoski or Greizman.

Were going to end up with Jonny Evans and Gabriel Agbonlahor : (

Everyone seems to be watching and getting frustrated with this CB chase now - not just us gooners!

It is so annoying how stubborn Wenger is. I've always defended him and I still stand by him but he has got to keep up with the financial times. I can see his point but, realistically, even if we found a world class CB for £1 mill - is any human being worth 1 million pounds, whether he can kick a ball well or not? All things considered, AW needs to realise that the market is ludicrous and in order to buy players and advance, you have to pay over the odds and can only compare prices with other transfer happenings - not the real world!

Top signings take time and before Mertesacker and Gabriel were injured, we had our CB's for the season. It sounds like we are negotiating with the club and the player, hopefully with a conclusion coming soon.

Lewandowski has no interest in joining the PL, not until he wants one last big pay day when he is 30 plus.
