Thanks for your time.

{Ed002's Note - (a) I would expect him to be replaced (b) Possibly (c) Jordi Alba has according to a third party been speaking to players from other sides about what it is like playing in England - and as far as I know there is nothing more to it.}

Sorry Ed hope you don't mind a quick
Question about cazorla. I saw few on here saying he had another year on his contract and I saw the articles
Myself but then I'm still seeing some saying he is out of contract this summer. Any chance you could clear that up
For me please.

{Ed002's Note - He is out of contract in June.}

Caz is great but offering a new contract to a player who is constantly injured and will be 33 in December is just such a current Arsenal thing to do.
Unless we change our ways and become more professional and less precious about individuals how will things ever change?
I like Caz a lot and although we are so much better with him than without him it's crazy to just go on the same old failed way because we like someone.
Renewing Caz Mertersaacker contracts is Arsene's way but it's also a proven way of underachieving, surely it's time to start doing what's good for the team and club now not what's lovely and familiar.

{Ed001's Note - why don't they do what used to happen in the past? To reward players for their service, clubs used to let them go on a free to get a big contract elsewhere. Why has that changed to 'give them a big contract here so they can sit on the sidelines watching'? I would not personally find that very rewarding!}

I don't know Ed001 mate it makes no sense what so ever, fear of the player doing well else where and the criticism that would follow maybe?
What I do know is the managers who make the big decisions popular or not seem to get the big prizes more often.
Mourinho let Mata go soon after he returned to Chelsea despite Mata being Chelsea player of the year for the two previous seasons running, it looked like a crazy decision at the time but Mourinho went on to win the title by a distance the following season.
I know we Arsenal fans have in the past been very protective of certain players like Wilshere Walcott Szczesney Gibbs who just never looked good enough over a sustained period of time but were Arsenal through and through which made them bullet proof to many fans.
I do think we fans have to take some responsibility for buying into and encouraging the cost club mentality too, it's time for change at Arsenal and that includes us fans who need to buy into and accept that change imo.
For me Klopp is brilliant because he doesn't accept anyone not pulling their weight including the fans he holds everyone himself including accountable for doing their job for the club, how we at Arsenal could do with someone like Klopp now to drag us all into a new era.

{Ed001's Note - interesting take but you have a point as being decisive is very important.}

be nice if you could offer these players like cazorla and wilshere on the top of my head the 2 constantly injured players a decent wage with a better wage only when they play. Soon see their loyalty then.

I can understand that logic D16 if you were buying a player who is getting into his twilight and with injury history like cazorla. But those players like cazorla get offered those deals by clubs who are taking a punt if getting a player like cazorla. Cazorla is an arsenal player and would probably not be interested in that option because of years served so would probably want a fixed contract! Wilshere on the other hand loves arsenal so I'm sure he would like to prove his worth and should've offered a less attractive contract to see if he can deliver for the love of the club. He owes the club that.
