Ed. How likely is it we will pull this off and do you think it's what we need?

Paul.

{Ed001's Note - Wenger needs this deal, so I expect it to go through. He certainly adds something different.}

Why Is that tho Ed. Do we see something in him no one else does. Not that I think you have all the answers just like your view lol.

{Ed001's Note - he is a quality player, by all accounts, not seen a lot of him to judge him, the issue is him. The fact that he was all set for Atleti until their ban makes him a bit of a worry. Will he just want a few months somewhere else, just to get a move and then be hankering for a move on to Atleti when their ban is lifted?}

If this deal does go through. Does that me the chances of signing Mbeppe dramatically drops. You said earlier, you only expect us to sign one of them. thanks for the reply.

{Ed001's Note - I don't remember saying that but yes I do feel that it is one or the other.}

Lacaztte's scoring record is pretty decent considering the team he plays in but we need more. Mbeppe's name is currently as big as most and breaking the world record fee is a real sign of intent. He's fee is growing to a stupid amount seeing as he's only 18 but Wenger did say world class players are apparent at 18. Do you think the reason we're apparently strongly pushing for Lacaztte is because it's an easier option seeing as he's made it clear for the last few seasons he wants to move on or is it because classic Arsenal never want to get involved in a bidding war and Mbeppe has a lot of attention at the moment? Thanks for the reply.

{Ed001's Note - Mbappe is too expensive and it would only be a short term solution.}

it's easy for me to say this as it's not my money but Arsenal need one summer of crazy spending to be considered a big club seeing as we're not winning titles and now not competing in the CL. I'm not suggesting we just throw money at players like City did with Stones as Holding has proved quality can be bought for nothing. I just hope we push for Mbappe as even though he'd cost a sweet penny, there's no bigger investment. He's not reached his potential and his sell on value with in 2 years if he is a short term solution will be closer to 200 than the 110 we'd spend on him. Can't imagine his wage demands would be a massive ask either.
