It's hard to argue with TH14 - "Henry believes Arsenal missed a trick by ignoring the ball over the top for Lacazette to run on to on too many occasions, instead opting to play out wide and keep possession. "

Lacazette had to make a second and third run a number of times due to our slowness in attack - looking forward to the team realising that it's Lacazette not Giroud up front and we have new options

Will be interesting to see how we react to the two supposed bids

Ox 35m Chelsea
Sanchez 60m City

Typical that we sell these guys but keep Jack, Gibbs, debuchy etc!

Offer Sanchez 300k per week and see if his hearts in it / if not.

Let's get Aguero plus 40m plus Lemar for 60m - get it done, learn lessons and move on

Keep Ox and play him RWB

Go buy Matuidi

Clear some squad players

and call it a day.

No one is bigger than the club.

It was an interesting watch SY, the amount of times I've seen that exact same thing when Giroud was making the run and it was often Ozil not making that final pass.

The concerning thing was Xhaka clearly seemed to see him and is a fantastic passer but never played the ball.

Hopefully he was listening/ watching. 😁.

To be fair, I moan at Walcott a lot for not running in behind the defense, but when he does he never gets the ball either. I do worry that if we wanted to play the ball over the top we would have used Walcott in that role more, but its just not our style. As Stoner says though, hopefully the more Lacazette offers himself with these runs the more others will realise.

yeah need to mix it up more really as it then keeps the opposing defences guessing as to drop off or push up.

Hi all.

Well laca just joined. i'm sure once he settles in and has a better understanding with our best passers then they will try to play him in behind the opposition defense. On another note, Laca actually excels in tight spaces so even if he doesn't get played in behind he is a fox in the box and in time even our slow build up play will benefit us because unlike giroud who is dominant in the air and depends on crosses to head in the ball, LACA can make late runs in the box or just dribble/ run around a defender to take a snap shot at goal. not to mention his speed on breaks will also benefit us massively as giroud is usually too slow to keep up with our fastest players which usually results in sanchez or other forwards having to break only to turn around and wait for other players to catch up OR take on 3-4 guys on their own.

Hi ED's, thank you for all the info and specially grateful to ed 02 for his podcasts.
