7 days before the transfer deadline and the arsenal are still in limbo. We haven't had the greatest start. we haven't sorted out the sanchez, ox, ozil, saga. mustafi might be on his way and we play a rejuvenated liverpool on sunday. What the hell is going on at the arsenal.

Last season we should have seen wenger go after winning the fa cup. But he somehow convinced the board he will change his ways. it seemed true with the early signings of lacazette and kolasniac. There was a buzz around Emirates.
But now wenger has slowly gone back to his old ways controlling everything.

The team selections are somewhat bizarre playing players in wrong positions to keep them happy. But leaving ready made central defenders on bench and in the stands. Not answering or sorting out star player contracts and having a number 2 in bould next to him who sits their staring into space when the defence is being run ragged by the opposition. Where is the passion! If anyone should know about defending and organising a defence its bouldy. it beggars belief.

I was very optimistic at start of the season but it looks like wenger has fooled us again. I can't blame some players wanting to leave if we have groundhog day.
We have a week left. if ox, sanchez and co. don't want to play for us get rid of them and bring in players that do. Wenger is delusional if he doesn't realise this. Fringe players maybe taking up wages but it will not be as damaging as losing up to 100 million in letting star players go at the end of next season. Get in replacements asap or use the youth.

Players like Toral Campbell etc. should not be going on loan but should be used in place of the wantaway stars. Let them rot in the reserves if they want to leave at end of the season on a free. At the end of the day it comes down to Wenger the buck stops with him on results and team selection. I hope i am proven wrong by the end of the week but i won't be holding my breath.

It is what it is. Venting about it won't change anything so we might as well get behind the manager and the squad.

Personally I've become far less fussed about losing this last few seasons. Lowers my blood pressure and I don't mope about all weekend when we do lose. I suggest you try it, because for the rest of the season at least, you can either live with it or moan every time we lose. Hope that didn't sound patronising, just don't know how else to articulate it.

I agree with almost all of your comments.
The Stoke match was the final straw for me, as I failed to understand the team selection.
Defensively, why on earth did Wenger play 2 LB's again after the dismal defensive display against Leicester. Surely if Mertesacker was fit enough to be on the bench, then he should have played, Similarly, if haven sold or rather under-sold Gabriel, then unless we buy another CB, Chambers must be considered one of our CB's and again should have been included against Stoke, as should have Coquelin. I would have played a back three of Mustafi, Mert and Chambers. My wing backs would have been Bellerin on the right, not the left and Kolasinac on the left. I would have played Coquelin and Xhaka in the DM roles, but instructed then to play deep and protect the back three who should also have played far deeper than they did. I would have played Ox and Ramsey in the more attacking midfield roles and started with Lacazette up front.
Against Liverpool; Cech - Mustafi, Kos and Kolasinac - Xhaka and Coquelin - Bellerin, Ox, Ramsey and Sanchez - Lacazette.
I would be tempted to play Mertesacker instead of Kolasinac in the back three, but Liverpool's attack is rapid so I opted for Kolasinac. In midfield I would use Ozil at home, but not away to Liverpool and Ox and Ramsey will provide more fight and mobility. Up front I was tempted to use Giroud, but Lacazette may trouble Liverpool's vulnerable defence more. I bet Wenger will stick obstinately to something resembling the Stoke side, bringing back Koscielny for Kolasinac and keeping Monreal in the back three. I see a 2-0 defeat and the calls for Wenger's head will grow more vocal, What summed it for me was against Stoke playing 2 LB's in the team, but switching a RB to play at LB, whilst using Ox, a more offensive player at RB! Sheer lunacy.

Wire i understand its a start of the season but i'm not moaning or living with it and accepting it. I pay good money to see the arsenal and i'm not one to put my head in the sand and think we are not heading for another mediocre season. The potential of this club is massive some of us see it and some are happy with groundhog day. that's all it is mate.

I'm fed up of spending my money on a manager who is tacticly inept and players who don't want to wear the shirt. If we lose on Sunday I guarantee a revolt against Wenger. For me there is a real negative feeling both home and away. I will be bouncing if he plays ox on Sunday. get rid of the snake for me!
