News emanating from the club say that a lot of the players want the manager gone but none can actually admit it because of the backlash that they would receive so the manager carries on like everything is fine.

I think it's more because they like him as a person rather than being afraid of a backlash, I don't think anyone has the heart to look him in the eye and say it rather than not have the nerve, he's a nice man even if no longer a great manager.
You've only got to look at him away from press conference's and match day atmosphere to see that he is very popular as a person with almost everyone.

Theres that 62, coupled with the fact he's brought so many of them in from a young age, secured them big contracts, deflected and taken criticism for them that they actually know no different and don't really want to have to prove themselves to anyone else. Could you imagine where Aaron Ramsey would be after a month with a Klopp, Mourinho or Simione?

. yet Vieira is not offered a role within the club and instead goes to City, Henry is asked to choose between the under 23s and his sky gig. Wenger doesn't like grown men challenging him. So goodbye to you also Mustafi.

Shambo,

I've not got much to say about almost all of your post except the Henry part. I remember when I got my very first REAL job, it was at a bank. I interviewed for this job while I was working at a club. The bank did specify that I couldn't work at the club any longer.

You and I don't know what kind of conflict of interested the club may have been trying to avoid, but it is not unusual for a company to ask you not to work in similar industries or in places that could reflect badly on people's sense of professionalism - like in my case with the bank and club.

At the end of the day, none of us really know what is happening at the club. We pick up sound bites and extrapolate our own scenarios from there. We do all this while levelling accusations at a man that are probably entirely false.

The world cup in Brazil Wenger is hanging out with a lot of ex footballers playing beach volley ball etc, I think the man is genuinely liked away from the cameras.
He has become far to close to his team and this has brought huge problems and inadvertently formed the cosy club.

The way I see it Arsene is like a popular school teacher who's lessons they look forward to simply because they are a laugh, but unfortunately they are no longer conducive to getting straight A results.
