It has been 10 years since we moved to a bigger stadium. We were promised the world. We could compete with the elite. What has happened?
Money has been available. the crowds have turned up albeit sky high prices and what have we got in return?

3 fa cups. a million excuses. running star players contracts to the end letting them go for free. selling top players. panic last minute buying. players without a winning mentality. players played out of position to accommodate others. too scared to drop players who are not performing. no plan b. and not having the balls to stand up to star players demands. and a team that capitulates at the sight of pressure from the opposition.

This club needs change and need it quickly before we become a mid table team.

Not making excuses but I doubt they could've seen all this money that has come pouring into the premier league clubs especially city and Chelsea. Good post tho there really is so much wrong at our club.

The board has a massive decision this summer, they let wenger dictate to them last season whether he stayed or not, but didn't give an answer til the last minute so no one else could be lined up, they can't do that again in a years time they have to know whether he's going at the end of this contract or not so someone is lined up! The situation last season was terrible planning! But if he is going to see out his contract is he allowed to take on the major rebuild that is needed, replacing sanchez, ozil, santi, cech and probably a few others.

It makes more sense to step down now and let a new manager come in and spend the money on the team they want, rather than if he is going in a year letting him spend big on players a new manager might not want, seems insane. I hope he has the decency to bow out gracefully at the end of the season and allow someone with new ideas to take it on and be able to form a team that's fully there's rather than in a year get a team on long contracts they haven't chosen.

Either that or double down back wenger fully and give him a 3 year contract to take it on himself. But that hasn't worked well so far! But at least new players would know where they stand and who they are signing for. Not you might be playing under someone else in a year, but you know probably not! No one knows til nearer the time!

Eden I think as long as we make the Europa league and season tickets continue to sell then I think your last paragraph is the most likely scenario.
Arsene will not go willingly and with him the board can continue as they are because support for Arsene himself is still very loyal from an awful lot of fans who will never turn on him no matter what.
When Arsene leaves there will be a tidal wave of ambition from every Arsenal fan and the club will lose the capacity to simply carry on as always without Arsene to divide the fans.
Arsene needs this board and this board needs Arsene just as much and once the partnership is broken there will no stopping change.
If Stan went chances are a new owner would be ambitious and replace Arsene immediately and if Arsene goes there will be nothing standing between the fans and the board.
Can't see this being Arsene last contract somehow its not in his or the boards interest.
