Giroud is still reluctant to leave permanently or loan and that will prove key in this deal. The Aubameyang transfer is on the verge of collapsing and arsenal will move on to other targets.

Giroud will miss the world cup then. We will get auba we are close to agreeing, not miles apart.

A straight cash transfer will be too expensive to pull. This transfer depends on Giroud leaving for Dortmund.

It’s more of a case of Dortmund needing a replacement.

Josephs22 - We do not need to ballast the Aubamayang deal in order to afford it. Arsenal are in a transfer surplus currently, and that applies over the last two windows. Unless you imagine that we only have 30m worth of leverage, which would be absurd, I can't quite work out the logic of your claim.

It’s just how negotiations go. Arsenal believe they have the player and Dortmund want a timely resolution. It’s not as if the fee will be paid in one lump. Also people need to stop adding up money in on the recent sales. Just forget about the money and be patient I doubt Dortmund want to keep a player who wants out.
