Hi Eds,

Reading back through previous posts, I just wanted to ask if Arsenal had one specific target for manager, or if it will be 'open for application' so to speak.

It was stated by one of you in March that Arsenal had informally spoken to someone, but that nothing could really be done as Arsene hadn't decided what he was doing.

So I guess I am asking are we using a sniper rifle or a shotgun to find his replacement?!

Any light you can shed would be greatly appreciated by all, I'm sure.

{Ed002's Note - As I have explained, there were two preferred options originally but one was not viable. As such they have moved on to consider other options. The club did want an early answer from Mr Wenger as I have previously explained. This would allow them time to make a suitable appointment. It won't be advertised in the Evening Standard.}

Thanks Ed. I seen to remember the two Being ancelotti and Simone that the board were split on. Not sure if that's still the case and sure things will change now they are stepping up the search. Thought I'd add the two names so people may stop asking doubtful tho lol.

{Ed002's Note - It was but isn't any longer. Simeone is not an option.}

Think that's a shame Ed. Maybe he'll be more defensively minded than I'd like but defending does seem to be our weakness.

Ancelotti also isn't and option anymore? Thanks in advance ed02.

{Ed002's Note - I don't understand.}

The club have move on from both first preferred options (Ancelotti and Simeone) or Ancelotti remains an option?
