Sky Sports reporting that Everton are in talks with with Palace for Zaha. A bid in the region of £60m including a player is expected to be made. Zaha's preference is to join Arsenal but would consider a move back to the North West.

Zaha definitely needs a change of club whether it's Arsenal or Everton he needs a fresh challenge in my opinion and obviously I want him to find the challenge at Arsenal.

I’m very torn by the whole situation. I believe that zaha would be great at arsenal but also signing him would be arsenal immediately returning to the short term thinking that has plagued the club recently, which has left us in the situation we are in now. Signing zaha for upwards of 60m when he would have little sell on value after us goes completely against the new philosophy that the club is attempting to change too. Unless he gets us into the champions league.

However I believe in order for us to make the jump to the champions league we need to focus entirely on the defence. Improving that area of our squad will gain us much more points over a season than a goal scoring winger will do. Better spend 60m on defence if we have that much in our ‘war chest’.
