Hi ed, With this war chest at arsenes disposal, we all wait eagerly for a statement of intent from wenger that we are no longing shopping from asda and instead boutique buying. Seems to me we are sitting targets for the big spenders to come and trump any potential deal we may have lined up. Players like grenier, jovetic, higuain, gonalons, kondogbia, all have been linked with us but I have my doubts any of these marquee talents will be emirates bound. Simply, money talks and arsenal will lose out to the big spenders in securing these talents. I believe arsenal need 3 top players assuming we keep Sagna, vermaelen and keep faith in our current goalies. Def a dominant midfielder, a killer in the box to rival Ian wrights deadly finishing and for me a bergkamp, someone who can be a link between midfield and attack offering vision, creativity and scoring a share of the goals. I would love to see kondogbia, Wilfred bony and jovetic at the emirates. These three amigos would bring real quality to our team. Sell gervinho, chamakh, arshavin, santos as they have not delivered. I really hope we go for it next year, if not wenger and kroenke can go and bring in uzmanov and a manager that wants to please the fans as well as the board. We have been ultra patient while promises have been consistently broken, "this is our season" over and over again, "cesc will stay" "Rvp will stay" "nasri will stay" selling song, disappointment after disappointment. The fourth place celebrations were simply embarrassing, I was expecting an open top bus parade to recognise the achievement. Spend some money and prove we are a big club and not an outfit that fleeces ultra loyal fans, telling them that failure is an option and trophies offer no real value. But the 3 players you have sourced out although will cost a nice expensive sum of money they just won't cut it. Aka aren't good enough.

I disagree also that we need a bergkamp role player, simply where would he fit in our formation? We have cazorla for the attacking midfield role, what we need is a left winger.

Also a centre back! One who is powerful and tall and commanding, I say we sign a superstar youngster, zouma or marquinhos.

Also I can agree kondogbia is a good player but there are cheaper alternatives, lars bender has a €15mil release clause and would be exceptional for arsenal.

As for the striker I'd like to see giroud given the chance or if a striker is to be signed make a real statement of intent, Rooney wants to leave, Suarez could be available, if ancelotti leave psg ibrahimovic could also be available. These players would instantly boost the confidence of the players around them.
