I know every guuner would be on their toes regarding Suarez, Let me share my views.
He is an outstanding player. No doubt. sheer brilliance. and has a maigc. charisma towards the fans. they way he celbrates. the way he scores. some spectacular.
If football is remember by some magicla moments, comebacks. outstainding away goals, winners.
then suarez hit the chart right up there.

For him. liverpool and Arsenal are same. the only differnce is CL. He is 26 and possibly have another 4 years left. his preferd destination is RM.

If arsenal do sign him and don't win anything in two seaosns. He is going to RM. that's 100% guaranteed.

Yes he plays for himself. but he plays bloody well.

He don't care which shirt he wears, but once he step over the line he gives his 110%.

Is he selfish. yes?. but that's what some footballers are.

Is he going to bring troube?. Yes might be. But he would still score 30 goals.

If Arsenal is looking for a Long term repalcement and have 30 mill plus to spend.

LAMELA or MURIEL. I personally want liverpool to spend the money which we get from you to these players.
Thats 5 years future investement.

But with Suarez in the squad, You could probably fight for the title next seaosn. coz. he would bring that, goals which would actually be pretty close deciding the title.

Arsene wenger has never spend mroe than 15 mill on any player till now and have produced some world class talent.
But its just because the pressure of the fans he is spending 50 mill on single player, Probably his last seaosn with Arsenal.
This might turn out to be his biggest decision in his life, because the board would never sanction any money to the new manager who comes next seaosn.

Liverpool sit in a pole position, we need money, because Arsneal lost their targets and we are sure of real or PSG coming late in the window.
So whoever comes with the highest offer, we would sell them. preferd RM

Very good point regarding loyalty. For the 50 mln we spend, how long will he actually stay?

Will Suarez end his Career at Arsenal or at 29, will be we in the same situation Liverpool are in.

I would say Lamela is a great alternative, and considering Roma want Gervinho, one would hope there is a deal to do. (although we would need to pay 20-30 mln)

Thanks mate. But Lamela is just 22, and Wenger could turn him to a super star, atleast he would guarantee you a profit after 5 years.

We have been investing for the future for a long time now. For one season, let's live in the moment. If we get Suarez for 3 seasons, put a mega buyout clause on him, get him operating at 120% capacity for those 3 seasons then he hands in a transfer request, why would we not sell him? Especially if have managed to use him to win some trophies?

For me it wouldn't matter if we only got 2 years out of Suarez as I don't think we'd loose money - surely we're more than capable of putting in a £45 million buyout clause? Lamela may well be one for the future, but we need one for the NOW who doesn't require time to develop.

Great post - I enjoyed reading that.

For all of those reasons above I would rather we didn't sign him for Arsenal. I think that we should sign more defensive cover and then strengthen our wings so that Walcott can play up front, if we need more pace. I would have loved to see Higuain at arsenal but nevermind.

I don't want to sign LS - he believes he is bigger than the club and that's wrong. Hanibal lector can go elsewhere.
