Here's a question. Does anyone really believe that Suarez is worth nearly £50 million and possibly more? I for one think that this is too much money for him and smells if us being desperate to get a big name on board. I agree with what I have been reading on here we should have sealed a few deals much earlier in the game but again we fluffed around and seem to be paying for it. {Ed027's Note - 40m max for me, given the amount of trouble he could make for us

I wouldn't pay half the asking price for him, in the words of the great Lenny McClean 'he's a ******* liability' and I personally think that if we have gone all the seasons, selling our best players to go a blow a wedge on a player like Suarez who can do more damage to everything around as much as he can to the opposition is a joke.

Hi Ed 27 I just thought about your comment and told myself: Suarez is such an unpredictable human being that it should have an impact on his market value, but only if lfc is desperate to sell. If they're not, how are we supposed to attract the player if we suggest that the way he is should lower his price! Wenger stated earlier that he would give Suarez a chance, it means that he doesn't take the past in consideration and that's why he can't convince lfc with such an argument. we have to be ready to pay the full price or find something else!
Stan {Ed027's Note - According to Suarez's camp 40m is the price that should release him, so I think should stick with that, imo that is what he is worth, but saying that if Cavani goes for 55m so does he, Luis will be a little git now, and he'll force through the move

For me it's 40m max as ed said.
and let's say that his skill, speed, and ability make him worth 55m like cavani;
6-match ban = -5m
player wanting to leave = -5m
bad attitude = -5m

so we reach the 40m mark :)

Think we will still have to pay a little more than 40 mil, don't see LFC accepting this 40mil+1 bid, because they made it out to look disrespectful and they will require AFC to up the bid a few million maybe even till 45, not to loose dignity. I'd bid 40million +2. Think that 45 is the magic number and would land him.

but its missing -£20mil for being a racist who bites people which means a) he's a PR liability and b) going to miss games.

So I think £35 mil is about right.
