This is becoming embarrassing. Rumours of boardroom splits with Kroenke siding with his accountant and control freak AW are just about the last straw. I am quite frankly coming to the conclusion of boycotting the games, something I have never done or even thought about in my 50 years of following the greatest football club on this planet. I fail to see how AW can look at that squad and say we can challenge for trophies this coming season. I am sick to death of his (we are working hard to add. to our squad but we are not close to signing anyone). (or what his most important is that we keep our mental strength and keep developing the players that we have)Which in proper terms is I got us champions league football again, saved us money, kept the wages/transfer fees down ain't I the bees knees.
Its all nonsense and but the sad thing is I think he truly believes that that is just as good if not better than spending money and actually winning something. So basically unless their is extreme shift in views of Chairman Mao /Wenger than I might be forced to take the above action.
Sorry people but that's how I feel.
Thanks for the site Ed {Ed022's Note - Your welcome but I admit, it is a frustrating time being a gooner. I wouldn't for one minute think of turning my back on the club though. Thick and thin my friend.}

So you've been following the greatest club on the planet for 50 years and only now you think we're not worth watching. What planet were you on in the mid 70's early 80's.

If you want to think poor then that was poor. All over, going nowhere fast.

I know its a frustrating time for all of us but what the hell do you expect wenger to say? "our squad is full of s*** and we're desperate to sign any one whos half decent?" of course he's always going to big the squad up that's his job as a manager to instill belief and confidence.

Yes there bad times in the 60/70 80 but that's my point my friend even though their where bad times, this actual time now has got me severly p----d off because all I can see is my club being run buy a control freak who see, s no wrong in his vision.

The difference between the late 70s and early 80s when I first started attending games is you could pay at the gate. the attendances adveraged 23,000 24,000. Liverpool was the biggest attendance, and even the spurs and Chelsea games wasn't sold out. The only time we filled the ground was a big cup tie. Now there's over 40,000 season tickets where people have to commit a large chunk of money In June. People like myself who went way to York 1983/84 and lost to a last minute penalty. Or going to Liverpool away, night game when there was around 600 or less Arsenal supporters there. The point of moving to the Emirates was to compete financially. Arsenals own account state that we had 123. 3 cash surplus November 2011 and 115m in 2011. We have the money, Wenger won't spend it. fact. km

Not meaning to knock Heybridge, I can feel your's and everyone elses frustrations. I know we all only want the best for our great club.

I will agree we are way behind ManC and Chelski not so much ManU, but we do have a very good bunch of players and if, as it inceasing looks like it, we do not buy big they will not do as badly as some people make out.

Arsene has bought top quality before, but maybe it was only because he inherited the famous back 5 that we did win what we did. Then again he was instrumental in Lehman and Sol.

We as fans are being frustrated by what we read in these rumours of our's and what the press release. (LS now going to either BayM or RM defo)?

As with any auction you have to have a limit you wish to go, before a player becomes too overpriced and you'll end up losing more money in the long run, with no guarantee they will be successful. a la Torres and others.

Time wiil tell, but it won't be a disaster this season.
