Hy edwards, I wish to summon ed001

ed001, why do you think we would struggle with Suarez leading our attack?I'm really curious, not trying to agitate you

{Ed022's Note - Im sorry Ed001 isn't here right now. He's currently undertaking some important work in the world of sport. Please leave your message after the beep...}

Is he finalising the deal for suarez to arsenal?

{Ed022's Note - I cannot divulge the nature of his business as I have signed a confidentiality agreement as part of my job here as several of us have very strong links within the sporting, especially football community that can't be revealed...}

I agree with Ed001 actually,

Suarez isn't an out and out striker, he's a second striker, playing off the forward, that's when he's best.

Suarez won't win headers or hold up the ball.

If we sign him, I see 2 scenarios.

He'll play centrally behind Giroud with Santi moved out left, or he'll play out left himself.

Neither of those am I keen for.

{Ed022's Note - He is not an out and out striker but a drifter. I would like to see him play alongside Giroud personally as I think Giroud would work well with him...}ts

Yeah, I agree Ed, going to a little and large of the old days!
But I reckon if he plays behind, in the "hole" he can link up with Jack and Mikel in midfield, and run at opposition from deep.

That said, maybe moving to a two up top would be a good idea!

{Ed022's Note - Sometimes, positions and formations can be a bit too rigid and if you think about it Walcott drifts inside centrally all the time but plays on the wide right as a "winger/attacker". Suarez and Giroud could play together and let's go crazy here, alongside Walcott in a top three if Wenger wanted. Imagine the goal threat? For this to work, you'd need your full backs to be excellent and a midfield enforcer...}

Hmmm, good point.

I reckon Monreal is solid defensively, but as for RB, Sagna and Jenko are much too attacking.

And we definitely don't have an anchor man!

Thing is though, Giroud, Walcott, Poldi and Santi all scored over 10 goals for us, 3 on their debut season!
Surely we can expect them to do better this year now they've settled, and maybe relax the need for a striker,

I know a lot of people are set on Suarez, but something in me just says allow Poldi and Giroud to rotate/sub/play as strikers, and buy a good winger!
Walcott cuts in a lot as you say, and he does it to a good effect, someone similar out left who can also cross could make a big difference!

What's the release clause in your contract ed001?i'll give you one pound more if you reveal the info

{Ed022's Note - Ed001 is unfortunately on the Messi scale of release clauses...}
