War chest makes me laugh. All that talk for years of money being available, and when we finally pull the trigger, the ammassed amount of reputedly 70m equates to 2 decent players.
Usually i'm glass half full, but really feel we have missed a trick this summer. Shame.

{Ed022's Note - £70m could get us exactly what we need: Cesar (£2m) Sakho/Rami/Williams/Alderweireld (All under £11m) Gustavo (£17m) Thats £30m for three players leaving £40m to get a striker...}

We all know that Wenger won't spend. He only spends what comes in. Last summer RVP & Song out for approx£42m. Cazorla, Giroud & Podolski in for approx £42m.
Its really sad this summer, so far, as the Toot & Liverpool are both improving their squads.

{Ed022's Note - Well he's released Squillaci, Chamakh, Arshavin etc for nothing and signed Sanogo for nothing. We've sold Gervinho for £7m which means we can buy Suarez's left knee cap, Sakho's elbow and Cesar's right ear for a combined total of £7m...}

Ed022, can you get on the hotline to aw and tell him how desperate we all are. most people on this site would agree with your analysis of what's needed. perhaps when a vacancy comes up next year you could come out, perhaps that's the wrong phrase. what I mean is put your hat in the ring for the job.

Ed022 - was thinking more that rumour of suarez bid hitting 50mm and then a defensive mid at 17-23mm (gustavo or fellaini) and suddenly we are at the 70mm without signing the world class players that we all dreamed that money could get.
