starting to suspect that suarez was just using us to try to engineer a move to real madrid. either that or he's seen the complete lack of other world class signings and has got cold feet. I think we can safely say this is one transfer that definetly won't be happening!

Hig is quality, we wouldn't pay the money. Suarez is quality, we paid £1 over what we thought was needed. If we didn't pussy foot around and went in with 50m we would have him. Gustavo, very good (what we need) we wouldn't pay the money. My point is if we won't pay more than £1 over what we think is reasonable how are we going to go and sign 3 players in the last days of the transfer window. We all know the prices go up as the window nears. Teams are reluctant to sell the best players as they know they will be charged through the roof for a replacement. Do you really seeing AW spending what clubs will demand now? No, he will be priced out of moves and we will end up with the next park, santos, squalatchi. We will then spend the next 3 years trying to move them on to save the 50k wages they get paid! JOKES
