When Hitler invaded Russia, Stalin didn't beleive it. When the border guards reported tanks on the border he dismissed it. When colenels and majors were reporting they were 50 miles into Russian territory he suspected it was misinformation planted by British intelligence. It was only when half the german army was in Russian territory that Stalin finally realised, hmmmm, bit of a problem here.

Now before you ask, yes I am comparing avb to Hitler, and yes, in this analogy Wenger is Stalin.

Its obvious to see the enemy are on the warpath, they're capturing villages (capoue and chadli) a few cities, (paulinho and Soldado) and now they're parked right outside Leningrad and Stalingrad (lamela and willian)

However unlike Stalin, who got his arse in gear by this time, Wenger is doing nothing. We should be signing Lamela - he's the best of the rest that's out there. Who else is available as good as Willian? No one.

Wenger is f***-a**ing around with the likes of cabaye. Last thing we need is diminutive midfielders. We should be hijacking these deals and kicking on. These are 2 world class players. Is cabaye world class? No. Will he ever be? No. Just another squadie.

Grrrr

That is a rather beautiful analogy.
But you answered your own question, who lost the war?

Ah. But who won the return leg in 1945?
