Ok lil bit of Jokes or Mind Games being played by AVB, when asked about Juan Mata this is what he says -:

"Mata is a great player - player of the season last season, a very important player for Chelsea. But Chelsea wouldn't sell to Tottenham in any way, as they think we are title contenders."

Tottenham have now become title contenders without even being in the champions league.? LOL

At least they are improving their team with new signings.

{Ed022's Note - You don't need to be in the CL to be title contenders. Im not saying Spurs will compete for the title but they are definitely a lot stronger than they were last season. They have done VERY well in signing players...}

Ed022 - time will tell if they are stronger - that's a lot of players to fit into a new system, that's a lot of goals and assists to replace. An injury to Soldado (the penalty king) means they are down to Defoe or Adebayor again, and they relied on Townsend to get them out of jail so far this year.

Deeper squad, but not necessarily quality.

{Ed022's Note - We are a few more injuries from a crisis ourselves so let's not get ahead of ourselves. Giroud gets injured and Podolski is already injured then who plays up front? Walcott? Who plays on the left and right? Chamberlain's injured. Cazorla would be wasted out on the wing. Who else is there?}
