So Wenger did what he said he would: 3 palyers coming in, 2 attackers, 1 defensive mid. Problem is all of them were "free" and Wenger's definition of QUALITY, is clearly very different from mine.

Haha - not saying its been the plan all along. but lack of plan has led to this.

I think Wenger and Co did draft a list of targets at the begginning of the summer, but did not plan for a hyper-inflated market this summer.

So the contigency was to not do anything.

I think the zero spend is a BIG 2 fingers up at Gazidis from Wenger the messiah who still wants to prove that he is the greatest manager of all time by winning trophies on a shoe string, and he is mightily peeved at Gazidis for saying we would spend big.
