Went over to the Manchester United page and said why didn't they bid for Ozil so on and so forth then said he will be a catylyst for better things to come but one said we got him just to shut us fans up. I personally think its like the bergkamp transfer once he came others followed.

So what do you lot think just to shut us up or start of a change at the arsenal?

I can't see arsenal spending 42.5m to 'shut us up' when they didn't seem to be listening anyway.

Not sure if it's to shut us up or if it's the signal of change. Personally I think his availability due to the Bale transfer led to this and nothing else. I still think Wenger did not have enough of a plan prior to Ozil signing and had it fallen through or Ozil chosen a move elsewhere Wenger would have been lambasted for it.
I still think we are maybe one or at a push, two signings short however, I do think that this signing will help our season massively. It really is a shame that we currently have so many injuries though as i'd like to see our fully fit 11 with a fully fit bench. Can you imagine the array of talent!

A bit of both to be honest. I don't think Arsene wanted to spend. The pressure became unbearable and the club feared a backslash. They then opted for Ozil who luckily had become disgruntled at RM.

we needed a striker more than anything in most peoples opinion but I have a feeling that it will work for the best because what we really needed is someone with that killer pass and that is what we have in Ozil.
