Apparently Koscielny is struggling with a long term achilles injury. That leaves us only 3 fit first team defenders. If Koscielny is ruled out of the next two matches, we will have to play either Hayter or Bellerin, neither of which are ready to play a Champions League match or against the Premier League leaders. The other and probably the best option is to play Coquelin at right back. Does Jenkinson have a clause in his loan agreement to allow his release? I still can't fathom out why Wenger let Vermaelen go, without bringing in a replacement. Did Wenger truly believe we could go through half a season using only 6 defenders?

He justified this situation mate

"It was very hard."

That should make everything alright.

Ha, Ulster, it wasn't so 'hard' to sell Vermaelen & allow Jenkinson out on loan!

ROBBIE. Personally I quite like the thought of Bellerin in the squad. I know it's not Debuchy but on the other hand I think he has been pretty solid in the games I have seen him in.
There is no denying when he goes forward he is a very dangerous player.
I would rather play with him then against him.

Lol if only there was a sarcastic key on a keyboard Robbie. It's a ridiculous situation to be in for a team of our level.

I'm in agreement about bellerin Goldboy. i'd rather he played rb than Chambers or Coquelin. My reasoning being that Chambers final position is probably going to be in the middle and not rb and Coquelin is adamant he's a midfielder.

If there is one silver lining to come out of this ludicrous defensive crisis, let it be the rapid advancement of this promising youngster. Gives us even more pace too.

Pace??Wenger doesn't know how to utilize the pace we have, the only pace we've got, is on the ball. being passed back to Sczcesny 30 times a game
